A beautiful place to live if only temporarily

5 of 5
Chateau Du Jonquay was among one of my best for beautiful memories. I took my children and grandchildren for a two week adventure spending the best with them in this beautiful, quiet, perfect country french setting. Cows, working farms, beautiful quiet and well stocked villages and beauty abound. The best quote came from my three year old grandson two days after returning to the U.S. while having breakfast." Daddy, I wish we were having breakfast at the Chateau". What more could anyone say. It was the best and we hope to make a return visit for yet, another memorial breakfast. Thank you Jane and Stephen for allowing us to share your fabulous home.

Vivre comme un français

5 of 5
My girlfriend and I wanted to leave our hectic lives in the city of Vancouver, Canada. She somehow stumbled upon this manoir while looking on this website and I do not regret her booking it without my consent--sneaky woman. At first glance it was amazing to see how well maintained a 13th century building could be. I figured that I shouldn't have judged a book by its cover immediately, but the interior did not change my idea of the manoir one bit. Everything was absolutely authentic and beautiful inside. Other than the manoir, we spent some time site seeing. One of the most interesting places we visited was the Gouffre de Padriac; which was really close by. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys nature to trek to this cave. Overall, this place was fantastic and my girlfriend and I even recommend it to our friends. The only issue I had were the insects, but that's expected from a city boy and while being in the countryside.
