A great family holiday which we all really enjoyed

5 of 5
The apartment and location was just as described and we spent a wonderful two weeks relaxing and exploring Vilamoura & Quarteira . Both centres are within easy walking distance of the apartment and provide plenty of good entertainment in the evenings walking along the promenade and around the marina. Restaurants were plentiful and surprisingly affordable. We visited Zoomarine, went on a boat trip to the caves, played crazy gold and even took a bus to Faro for an afternoon. We particularly enjoyed relaxing around, and in, the pool with late lunches taken on the balcony during the hottest part of the day. The sea and pool view makes a wonderful setting to read or play cards as a family. We chose not to hire a car but instead were picked up and returned to the airport by taxis arranged by Sarah which made everything less stressful. Unless you want to play golf or explore wider afield a car really isn't necessary. A great family holiday which we all really enjoyed. Thanks Paul

Cote D'Azur Serenity

5 of 5
When you open the door of this lovely modern apartment perched on the hillside overlooking Villefranche sur Mer, the view of the turquoise and sapphire blue of the Mediterranean Sea through the wall of windows, will take your breath away! The initial glimpse will transport you to a peaceful, relaxed, serene vacation state-of-mind that one only experiences in the South of France. This newly renovated, light and airy apartment has simple European style and all the comforts of home. Upon arrival, my family and I immediately took refuge on the huge balcony with a cool bottle of rose and sumptuous French bread, cheese, and olives. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to
prepare many home cooked meals made with France's finest and freshest ingredients found at the local outdoor markets, bakeries, and butchers. When we didn't want to cook, we had no trouble finding an outstanding bistro, restaurant, creperie, or gourmet take-out in the area. Villefranche has a large pebble beach, and the surrounding communities have sandy and rocky beaches. Each beach is easily accessible by foot, car, or bus and all are within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. Renting a boat is easy even for those who don't consider themselves seafaring aficionados. For the more experienced mariner, there are speedboats, sailboats, and scull rentals. If scuba diving is your pleasure, there are plenty of diving expeditions .

For sightseeing, there is the beautiful city of Nice, the port of Antibes, and the enchanting medieval village of Eze. For those interested in gambling there are the casinos at Beaulieu or Monte Carlo. One can never be bored in this beautiful setting on the Cote d’Azur.

But whatever you choose, whether swimming, sailing, walking, or sightseeing, it is always wonderful to return to this peaceful, beautiful apartment and relax on the balcony. From breathtaking sunrises to the pink sunsets, the view from from this apartment never fails to please. For us, the full moon was an added treat as it bathed the entire inlet, filled with yachts, cruise ships, and small boats, with a soft pale purple haze. We all passed such a fabulous vacation that we found it incredibly difficult to leave.

Splendid stay in Cannes

5 of 5
My wife and I spent 6 nights in this wonderful condo with our 3 kids ages (12,9,4 1/2) late June into the first week of July. The location is as good as you can find especially for the price. It is 3 blocks from the beach but the blocks in Cannes are short not like New York City blocks taking maybe 3-5 minute stroll to the beach. 2 supermarkets right outside your door plus tons of other shops etc. The condo was as pictured in very good shape, very spacious, and very clean. We used the dishes, fridge, washing machine (no dryer - but do have a drying rack) shower tub etc. all to our satisfaction. The bathroom was absolutely fine and no odor as was mentioned previously and we spoke with the owner prior to our trip and they said it had been fixed and it definitely is. The condo has these drop down automated shades (not curains) which cover all of the windows and sliding doors to balcony completely so it can be made completely dark no light coming in just like hotel black out shades. Also, the AC is very cold and works well like american AC not typical European which may not cool as much as americans are used to. A few weird things you have to get used in the building itself is that it is dark in the hallways as in no light at all until you push the light switch to turn on which they are all on timers and go off again. Must be a French or european thing I don't know but you are surprised or at least we were. We will definitely be back to this condo. Cannes itself is the place to stay when in the French Riveria much better than Nice which is a very big city plus a rock filled beach. There are so many upscale shops and great restaurants/outdoor cafes and great for strolling and people watching.
