Sublime

5 of 5
Apologies for writing this late review, but we were looking through our trip slide show last night, and felt that we had to let everyone know just how special this villa is. My husband and I have been to Santorini before, so we knew to expect the jaw-dropping views. Even so, this villa had us wandering from room to room and terrace to terrace saying, "Can you believe we get to stay here for a whole week?" Vanda was very helpful in arranging our airport transfers, and in reviewing a local map with us and tailoring her suggestions to fit our interests. She is a charming and knowledgeable hostess. The master bedroom is really a complete master suite with it's own bedroom, living room, and bathroom.(Huge new walk-in shower made to look as if it is carved out of the hillside.) The decor is as pictured. Everything was in good repair and beautiful. One of the bedrooms is actually a separate studio accessed by external stairs. (But within the Villa's property) It has it's own spectacular terrace, and it's own small bathroom with a mini-fridge in the room. This was the beloved refuge of the teenaged boys we had with us. In the main portion of the villa, there is a central barrel vaulted living room and a third private bedroom located just off the living room. The small plunge-pool is only the size of a large jacuzzi. The water is hip deep for an adult woman. But standing in the pool looking out over the caldera is one of life's great moments. We were there in July when it was quite hot, and we never needed to turn on the air-conditioner in the main part of the villa because a peculiarity of houses built back into the hillside, (Cave style),is that they stay cool year around. The boys did need to turn on the air conditioner in the studio in the late afternoons, but when they did, it worked well. I would recommend this villa to any friend or relative of mine. The whole process of renting it was handled professionally and all my email questions were answered promptly. The owner, Susan, loves the house, and she seems delighted to share it with guests.

Excellent Apartment in the 16th!

5 of 5
My family and I loved our recent stay in this apartment. The location is in a great section of Paris with easy access to metro and RER. The aparment itself was excellently equipped with everything we needed and everything is in good condition. We also appreciated all of the access information and Paris guides located within the department. I would recommend this apartment to any party of up to 4 looking for a great stay in Paris.

Perfection!!

5 of 5
Staying at this Villa for 7 days was the ending of our travels through Europe for the month. What a beautiful and relaxing way to wrap up our holiday. I chose this Villa based on the consistency of the 5 star reviews. I have never seen that level of consistent high ratings before so I was prepared for less than 5 star experience, however, I was so wrong. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all reviews were spot on!! The villa was immaculate upon arrival and exactly as advertised on the website. The property is very pretty and quiet, just as shown in the photos on this site. We took many walks to the small town of Citta della Pieve where we enjoyed friendly warm and welcoming individuals, excellent meals, and of course Gelato. This town is a charming quintessential small Italian town. In the evenings it comes alive with people who obviously know each other and fill the streets with laughter. You are enveloped in the feeling of a small art community with deep roots and historic tales to tell. Jacopo has his own line of wine and olive oil from his property which we imbibed and enjoyed nightly…. He leaves wine and olive oil in the Villa and operates on the "honor system". We commented nightly how amazed we were comparing his 8 Euro bottle of wine to our $30 wine bottle purchases in the states. Such a treat! Another review commented on lack of music options and I second that comment. Maybe Jacopo would consider adding a music option to the Villa. There is a lovely simplicity to the grounds. Every morning the pool and grounds are cleaned so you arise to a fresh sparkling environment each day. And while Jacopo is on site every day to attend to these enhancements, he is ultra-respectful of your privacy - most of the time he comes and goes without you being aware of his presence. The Villa is tranquil and quiet at night and in the early morning. We slept with windows open every night and rested to the subtle sounds of crickets and light breezes through the valley. The main views from the house offer only olive groves and Umbrian hillsides. There is a resident fox who visited us each evening as we enjoyed the outside dining area. We were shocked at the fox’s comfort in our company. Spending a week in an Italian Villa has been on my bucket list for years. This Villa met every detail of my imagined experience when I created my bucket list.
