ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

5 of 5
Hacienda San Juan de la Vega is truly fantastic! A highlight of my visit to Ecuador. The property is stunning and the houses immaculate. The best part of our visit, however, was the amazing staff! Darwin and Veronica went out of their way to make us feel at home and to ensure we had a great stay. The property itself offers endless activities; hiking, horseback riding, and endless photo opportunities made it very hard to leave. Having travelled extensively throughout Ecuador, I can say without a doubt, Hacienda San Juan de la Vega is the best there is!

WONDERFUL VACATION

5 of 5
We flew to Manta in the evening and if it's your first time to San Lorenzo I would recommend taking a taxi or arranging transportation as it can be tricky to exit Manta in the dark if you don't know the roads. Everything else went above and beyond our expectations. The house is very large and comfortable - as advertised. The AC in the room is a nice escape from the tropical heat, especially if you are coming from Quito where the temperature is much more temperate. The pool, the beach and the views are simply amazing. The sunsets are postcard perfect. A trip to the lighthouse is a must. We found the staff - Miguel and Xavier to be very friendly and helpful. They only speak Spanish - so it can be challenging at times if you don't know the language - but they are eager to help on any requests. If you want to explore the coast, it's recommended to rent a car in Manta. A vehicle is also helpful to do any grocery shopping as there's nothing in San Lorenzo. Roads are nice and safety was never a concern. All in all a vacation that we would recommend to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

GREAT VACATION

5 of 5
Great vacation wish we could have spent more time there. The house is very nice very spacious and clean. We rented a car that in itself was a adventure. Its about 3 hrs from Guayaqul airport but well worth the ride. The house is close to Montanita and Olon.Montanita is a fun little town.We also took a ride to puerto lopez to go snorkeling at Salango Island. Also took a ride to Salinas which is about 1 1/2 from the house, beautiful beach there. Back to the house we had most of our meals on the front porch which had a very nice table to eat the great meals cooked by Gina the caretakers that live in back of the property. Her husband Daniel keep the grounds and pool very well maintained. They both were very helpful. We had arrived late and I realized I forgot to pack my toothbrush and Daniel ran out to get me one. There was a bit of a language barrier but my daughter knows some spanish and we also used the lap top to translate. Can't say enough about Gina and Daniel. There is also 3 freindly litlle dogs on the property that we all loved.Thank you Gisella
