Amazing Location

5 of 5
This location is what people spend their lives dreaming of. The views are beyond words. The private beaches are better than Playa Rincon. We had more than enough space even though we had the max number of guests. It's so many spots in the house to relax, you're never on top of each other. We will definitely be going back. With it being so remote the internet is not that reliable. So if you have important things to do that requires internet, keep that in mind.

Great Experience.

4 of 5
We have just returned from a wonderful month at Cotorra Azul. The condo is well stocked and in a beautiful small complex of 12. Lovely grounds and huge swimming pool. Go out of the gate and you are immersed in the life of the town. It is a one way street and full of scooters and motor cycles. Seems that is the preferred method of transportatio0n for the locals. Motorcycles will slow down looking to give you a ride. I gather the going rate is 50 pesos($1.50 Cad). I, as a senior was never brave enough to take up the offer!!! The beaches are a short walk away and beautiful. Because the Peninsula is mountainous the coast line really is quite spectacular. Interestingly this little town is the playground of the French and Germans. As you walk the endless beach it is rare to hear English. That said we had no problem having really no Spanish and found the Dominicans very honest. Not once were we taken advantage of. We took a couple of tours with Flora Tours who do have English speaking guides. The whale watching was spectacular. Be advised they do not take credit cards. The best way to pay is with U.S. dollars. Marisol is a wonderful person to deal with. Immediate response to any queries both before and during our stay. She even arranged for Tony(taxi driver) to pick us up and return us to the airport. He also took us to the next beach and returned to pick us up. Always prompt and pleasant. So if you want to really experience R.D. this is a wonderful place to do it. So much more authentic than all exclusives.

Perfect for large groups, unique landscape!

5 of 5
We were a very large 27 people group, and rented 7 of the 9 villas for our New Year's eve party and stayed for 3 nights. The place is simply perfect for us, since every family had it's own private village, each one has a large entrance and was perfect to sit and play. Also the pool was great for the young ones. Each villa space is larger than appear on pictures, the appliances weren't luxury but enough for our needs. The place is far from the beach, maybe for good walkers, so car or any other transport is recommended. After that peace was wonderful, the big tree at the hill is simply gorgeous. We also contracted the new years eve dinner, and was delicious. For just $35 per person, including a champagne for midnight, what can I say. I was in charge to find this place, and all the other were more than happy with the election, so we plan to comeback for sure. Thanks to Valeria and her Mother, also to Andrea for all good times we had, hope we can see you again soon!!
