Very Good Location!!

4 of 5
My husband and I spent 7 days at the Stanza Mare. We were in Punta Cana for New Years Eve and loved spending the evening sitting on the beach watching fireworks and drinking champagne, then dancing at the Hurrican Cafe. The Condo- Is clean and has all the basics you need to make meals and enjoy your home away from home. The bed is very comfortable! The condo is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and overlooks the pool with a tiny view of the ocean. Linda and Vincente were fantastic, and were always available for questions. The Stanza Mare- The property is very well cared for. We used the laundry service and they did a good job. It's too bad that they don't ever have the little pool side bar open. The one down side is the number of lounge chairs. There aren't enough. You want to get down to the pool/beach early if you want to get a lounge chair. The concept of security is kind of funny. There is a guard at the gate, but anyone can walk through easily so i don't know what the purpose it exactly. We felt perfectly safe at all times in Punta Cana, so no worries there, you just have to be smart. Shopping-I would recommend stopping at the Super Pola on the way from the airport, there are 2 small markets within walking distance, but they are a bit more expensive. As far as souvenier shopping, be prepared, the shopkeepers are very persistent at trying to get you into their shops, It honestly kept me from shopping very much they are very "in your face"! Money- Don't make the same mistake I did and exchange money at the airport, it's a rip off. Simply ask Linda when you arrive and she will exchange for you. We also used the ATM at the shopping mall at the Hard Rock and that worked fine. It's about a 15 minute walk. Restaurants- There are numerous restaurants with in 5 minutes walk, even a nice bakery. We tried several, our favorite was Citrus. There is also an Balicana, Asian restaurant that is very good. We understand that D'Angelos Pizza was good, their pasta however, was not good. Overall we had a very good experience in Punta Cana!!

Relaxing Christmas vacation

5 of 5
When we booked our stay we had no idea what to expect. From the taxi driver meeting us at the airport to Gregory working overtime to find my lost luggage, the people with Reliable Realty were amazing. Susi and Gregory booked our excursions (zip lining, snorkeling and parasailing), found us transportation to where ever we wanted to go (including the grocery store) and generally answered any of our questions. They even managed to get us a dinner on Christmas Day when not much was available. We found the people of the DR to be warm, welcoming and generous with their time. Our teenagers loved the beach and the free WIFI. My husband and I loved the slow pace and relaxation. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

'Ab Fab' vacation!

5 of 5
Just spent a fabulous 2 1/2 weeks at your lovely condo, thanks so much for sharing it with us! (I almost didn't write a review since I wanted to keep this treasure a secret!) I have rented several properties throughout the Caribbean, and this one is one of the best. You have thought of just about everything one needs to make this place a "home away from home", (except home does not offer such spectacular views of the sea, beach and palm trees )...and the pictures online don't do this place justice! Not only did I have a much needed peaceful and relaxing vacation (I practically had the beach to myself during the entire trip!), but also made life long friends with Rafael and his very "British" family. Additional shout out goes to the wonderful staff at Las Dunes (Damero, Marcia etc), all of whom were very welcoming and helpful. Like others who have posted before, I did not want the hassle of driving, so arranged for Rafael to pick me up (and drop me off) from the airport, and we stopped off for groceries on the way to the condo. A tip for fellow travelers, do stock up on everything you need for the duration of your trip including plenty of UHT milk cartons and bread (which can be frozen and thaws out perfectly), since additional trips to the grocery store will cost you between $50.00 - 80.00 each way. I cooked most of the time, since I am a vegetarian, however there were plenty of good seafood restaurants close by for those who prefer not to cook. I would highly recommend this property, both beach and pool areas as well as the grounds were immaculate, and the condo was just perfect. I would give this place 5 star +++ if I could! Denyse, thanks again, and I will speak to you soon about booking your "ab fab" place again this year.
