Perfect Escape!

5 of 5
Ok, I must go into detail so when your reading this you truly understand what to expect. My husband and I have always been all inclusive vacationeers but I always had a tough time spending the money. So after reading the reviews at your place and going back and forth with you with all of our questions I was impressed, still a little cautious but my gut told me to give it a shot. We had asked Rafael to pick us up from the airport & drop us off instead of renting our own car since there were so many mixed reviews about driving your own car. I give Rafael an A+ for not only being on time, the experience at the grocery store and the helping us out with all the questions we had during our entire stay. When arriving at the condo it was everything as stated online from a FANTASTIC ocean front view, clean amenities, infact maybe even a little bit nicer then our all inclusive stays. We walked the beach in each direction for miles and miles each way and loved the fact that we had our own space and time to take it in versus crowded beaches & too many people and deadlines of when to be ready for meals & etc. Every morning we made our own breakfast, hung out at the beach, grabbed a quick snack during the day at the room and then had dinner at a one of the restaurants every evening. WE couldn't of asked for anything more. When you pay for all inclusive's you usually only use a small fraction of their amenities & still pay for it and any extras such as excursions and spa services cost extra. Well I give your place a five star *****! My husband and I both said that we wlll be back and would highly recommend your place to our friends and family. Thanks, Cheryl & John

Cloud 9 Paradise

5 of 5
We stayed from Thu to Sun for 3 nights. If you want to get break the monotonous routine and make a quick getaway to heaven, this is it. The warm Dominican Republic sun will recharge, revitalize and reform you to your days when you were in your teens. Ricardo offers reasonable rates. The spacious suite is only a fraction of what it would cost to stay at a five star luxury hotel. The resort is new and filled with tons of attentive and resourceful staff members. The unit is on the 4th floor, the top floor, with a sweeping view of the Cap Cana waterway to see the boats go bustling by. Viewing the sunset while sipping wine on the deck made me forget all the New York office related worries. The resort is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. You're by the poolside sipping rum & coke within 1 hour after landing at the airport (we asked our taxi driver to stop by the grocery store before arrival so it was 1 hour 15 minutes). Nice gym to work out. Golf at La Cana for 140 dollar/round, is only 10 minutes away by taxi - be sure to book via golfpuntacana.com to avoid the 70 dollar taxi ride (both ways). The beach was closed but the big pool 200 yards from the unit was great. We didn't need to convert dollars into DR's local currency. Dollars were well accepted everywhere we went. The room is modern, new and well decorated. It's practical with a kitchen with all cooking utensils and silverware. Great for a family. We ate out at the resort's restaurants. Cielo's food was bland but great staff. Electrical plugs used the same plugs as in the US - no need for a socket converter. I guess the small setback was the small TV with poor resolution. I had difficulty watching my football games. But connection to many channels was great. Also, the wifi connection was poor and I had to pay 12 dollars for one day connection twice at the reception separately. The small shop within the resort sells souvenir, basic food, beer, chocolate and potato chips, more than enough if staying only for a few days. Have a great time! Regards, Jun

Great condo!

5 of 5
My family and I decided to go to the Dominican Republic for this years family vacation. After lots of research, I stumbled upon this amazing condo on VRBO. It's a huge condo that my family of 4 truly enjoyed staying at. The pictures are exactly what you will see once you enter the condo and complex. Evelyn was truly a pleasure to deal with from the beginning, during, end, and after our stay. Transportation recommended by Evelyn was Rafael from Sol Cana Tours. They picked us up from the airport and brought us back when it was time to leave and provided great service. We did 2 tours with Sol Cana (private tour of Santo Domingo and Higuey) which were amazing and of great value. Our tour guide Felix was very knowledgeable and informative at Santo Domingo, and our driver Arlington for both Santo Domingo and Higuey was very safe, funny, and kind. I highly recommend their services do not hesitate to email Rafael and book some tours with him. Rafael, Evelyn, and Leonardo (manager) all made our stay very easy, comfortable, and fun! Cap Cana is a great location that is very quiet, has friendly staff, and safe. The restaurants at Cap Cana are also really good (we ate at Il Cappuccino, Club Aquamare, Il Portico, La Palapa by Eden Roc, and Juanillo Beach food & drinks.) We did Ziplining and the Hoyo Azul eco tour at Scape Park (inside Cap Cana) which were lots of fun that I also highly recommend. Other tours we did and highly recommend are Outback Safari Adventures and Saona Island (Seavis tours.) Supermarket is close by, which makes it easy to purchase supplies for the condo. We rented a car for part of our stay and were able to browse other areas of the DR like the Bavaro area (we ate at the Jellyfish Restaurant, which was really good!) In the end we didn't want to leave! This place is truly a piece paradise that we highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever come to Punta Cana again! Thanks again for everything Evelyn!
