Wonderful

5 of 5
We stayed at this property for our Christmas vacation and I can honestly say it was the first time in years that we were so relaxed. The location is fabulous as it's more of a smaller, boutique resort. The service was consistently great and the staff were so kind and helpful. The owner, Lynn, was always easy to get a hold of and as we'd never been to the Dominican Republic before, she was so helpful walking us through any questions we had. We will definitely work with Lynn again in the future.

Great opprotunity to see Cap Cana

5 of 5
Great Apartment in fishing village, perfect for trips in and around Cap Cana. the Owner Ricardo is easy going, organisation runs perfect. Cap Cana is great and Janillo Beach probably the best beach in all Punta Cana. Very good Restaurants in the area as well. Andreas, Germany 2015

A perfect place for rest and relaxation!

5 of 5
My husband and I came to Punta Cana for a writing and reflexion retreat recently. We left refreshed, relaxed and joyous. We found every point of contact with Patrick, our landlord, to be excellent.Ricardo his property manager did a great job of setting up our transfers to and from the airport. The photos are accurate. Everything is pristine and lovely. One felt completely safe and well-attended at all times. The view from the living room of the boats in the Marina is great. What we loved most was the big Kokomos pool right out our front door. It was like having a private oasis the entire week. The furniture is really comfortable. The bed had great bedding. This is a property in transition. Part of it was privately owned condos and part of it was an all-inclusive resort. We opted out of the all inclusive $85 per person per day meal plan. If we were heavier drinkers and eaters or interested in only eating the restaurants included in the all-inclusive it would have been a good deal. But being outside the plan left us more opportunities to visit any of the properties within the Cap Cana property. The resort was beautiful and underpopulated, which was both good and a bit disconcerting. It’s a completely manufactured environment and many of the store fronts and shops that you see in the photos are empty. Part of the property is still under construction so the private beach was closed until the day we left. We frequently taxied for $3 to the other resorts/properties/beaches within the 385,000 acre resort complex. We loved Juanillo Beach except it had some uneven service and inconsistent pricing. We loved the Sanctuary at Punta Cana. We saw little of Punta Cana itself because it was $40 each way by taxi anywhere outside the $3 enclosed resort zone. This worked great for the trip we were taking, but if we had come to tour the area more we would recommend renting a car. We didn’t avail ourselves of any of the excursions except the free ride to the mall—which was the oddest mall we’d ever been to anywhere. Some caveats for regular VRBO travelers who might expect it to be less “resort apartment” and more “home.” It doesn’t have a cooktop or grill, so although many reviewers suggested stopping at the grocery store, we found that to be a waste of money and ended up giving away most of our groceries because the kitchen wasn’t really a “cooking” kitchen, it was much more of a reheat/leftover kitchen.
