This was our first family vacation to an all-inclusive Caribbean resort. We are a blended family of 6 with moderate expectations for quality accommodations and service. We departed our home in West Virginia early on Saturday, July 26 and arrived in Punta Cana, Presidential Suites that same afternoon.
We arrived at the airport around 3PM and made our way to the luggage carousel. We easily located our shuttle driver holding a sign with our name, and although he hardly spoke english we managed just fine. Our arrival at the resort was enhanced by the immediate availability of helpful staff to unload our bags and stack them by reception. We were ushered in by the VIP assistant and checked in with no problem. The champagne was a nice touch while waiting for our VIP bracelets and our keys to be made. Our room wasn't quite ready, so we enjoyed a suggested tour of the property in a golf cart by the VIP assistant. He suggested we enjoy drinks and a snack at the main restaurant, Decadence, while we waited for our room, which we did. He picked us back up in the golf cart, got us all checked in and had our bags delivered to our room.
The room, a 3-bedroom suite, was absolutely amazing. The main portion of the space was an open floor plan living room, kitchen, and dining room. The bedrooms were a modest size, not huge but not to small either. There was beautiful stone masonry throughout - all floors and bathrooms. The one problem with the room was its proximity to some construction at the neighboring resort, right outside our window. For that reason, we called and asked for a different room, and although it didn't happen that night, we were provided a top floor room the next morning, which we gladly accepted because it had an upstairs roof-top private terrace with sun-chairs and a sun-bed.
We were consistently impressed with the level of service we received from the Lifestyle Vacation's Presidential Suites staff. The maid service was excellent; the VIP coordinators checked in with us daily to make sure we had dinner reservations, drinks in our fridge, a fresh fruit/cheese platter daily. The service at the restaurants was top notch, the evening entertainment was amazing, and they even had staff who came around about every 20 minutes on the beach and pool-side beds/sun-chairs. There was plenty of space on the beach, and we never had a problem finding a few beds together to accommodate our family. The only bad part of the trip was leaving.
