A LOVELY HONEYMOON

4 of 5
LVHC in Pureto Plata was a lovely place to spend a honeymoon. The VIP beaches were right out of a picture! Serenity Beach was our favorite- we could have spent all day munching crepes and sipping icy drinks while lounging in the warm water and on comfortable beach beds. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The only downside to the trip was that the air conditioning in our building was broken for 2 days, but that was a good excuse to head to the beach! We enjoyed the breakfast omelet station, the Indian restaurant, and we loved the Dominican coffee so much, we had to bring some home with us! Thank you Lynn, for helping us plan a lovely relaxing honeymoon. Lynn answered all our questions promptly. We couldn't have planned this without her help!

GREAT QUIET GETAWAY!

4 of 5
We stayed here for almost 3 weeks. Wonderful garden and pool/patio for refreshing swim and rest from any hustle and bustle you experience at a resort. This area close to the beach benefits from the ocean breezes to help cool you while you relax. We felt quite secure on the property and especially "Blacky" who recognized guests at the house or would bark at anything he thought needed barking at - he did his work as a dog should do :-) The owners are very knowledgeable and most accommodating to fit you in their schedule. Don't be afraid to ask. The studio is adequately supplied with everything you might need for preparing your own meals - we did this quite often. Have the local papia, melon and bananas - most wonderful. Also you won't want to throw away any Barcelo rum you buy. Close to two small grocery stores that will give you most items you might need. We didn't try all of the restaurants in the area - but the ones we went to were good. The beach area is safe and swimming or snorkeling in the pools created by the coral reefs is very enjoyable. You can rent beach lounges at very reasonable rates. Buy some fresh fruit or vegetables from one of the two ladies that wander by. They are very aware of your privacy and do not harass you for a sale. We were only approached by a couple of other venders (sunglasses or hats) and they also were very good about not harassing us. There are quite a few beach cafes - get most of anything you want to eat or drink! We would probably stay there again when we go back to Dominican Republic.
