Great vacation

5 of 5
Had a really good vacation with me and my friends. Home owners are incredibly attentive with responding to emails at any time of the day or night. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Food costs are not cheap about the same price as shopping for food in the United states. Food that was cooked was good and impressed me and my friends. Felt very safe because the community of villas is a bit hidden on this hill over looking the beach, and we had a security guard at night. The walk to the beach is about 5-10 minutes and it is pretty steep. We rented out scooters which was really fun and went up and down with ease. Pool water could of been warmer that would of been excellent. If your looking for villas with 5 or more bedrooms this area is probably best according to one of the cab drivers, apparently there aren't many villas near the beach with that many bedrooms. Cab rides are a bit expensive, if you plan on visiting Sousa would recommend a rental, otherwise make sure you bargain with everybody since you probably can get a better price when your down there. Overall I would recommend this villa and it is probably the best vacation me and my friends have ever been on, we had a blast.

Exceeded Our Expectations!

5 of 5
Eagle Villa was everything we anticipated from the online description … and more! The breathtaking ocean and mountain views, the exquisite décor, the meticulous cleanliness, and the numerous amenities all blew us away. The villa was a little difficult to find, but well worth it. Nothing could adequately describe the beauty of this hilltop setting. It was quite windy, especially in the afternoons, but the vista more than made up for it. We were treated to a magnificent rainbow during the only daytime shower we experienced during our 7 days. The place was spotless, the furniture comfortable, and the pool delightful. Hot water was available whenever needed. We enjoyed the excellent TVs, comfortable beds, and cool evening breezes. The villa’s game room was a bonus. There were 11 of us and still plenty of room. Our two little kids, 4 and 6, as well as 4 teens all loved the pool. We enjoyed the walk to Cofresi beach, and found the beaches at Costambar and Sosua to be amazing. I would rate the three in that order from good to great. Three of our group enjoyed horseback riding on the beach while two of our guys went dune buggy riding. We also took a full day excursion to the 27 Waterfall Park that included a number of cultural stops. What an incredible experience sliding and leaping down the falls! It’s not for the under 8s, nor for the faint of heart. But if you want a rather wild adventure – do it! Raphael was tremendously helpful friend answering all our questions, making us feel at home, and giving us precise suggestions regarding things to do. Anna prepared scrumptious meals and was always a big hit with our crew. Her Sancocho was unforgettable. She also kept the villa spotless for us. These two were a wonderful blessing during our stay. We miss them! Danny, the owner, stopped by and was kind and considerate. It was a pleasure to meet him. A night-time security guard gave us a sense of peace. During our week we spoke to many other vacationers who were staying at nearby resorts or villas. They were all envious when we told them about Eagle Villa. All in all, this was one of our best vacations ever at a villa that exceeded our expectations in every respect!
