Spoiled rotten for 5 days!

5 of 5
My three friends and I planned on taking a "Man-cation" with the hopes of living it up and being treated like kings for 5 days. We came to the right place. The house is beautiful with the most stunning views of the mountains and ocean. Cristina spoiled us rotten with delicious breakfast every morning and lunch and dinner at our request. She came with us shopping and took over from there. The house was cleaned daily, laundry done, and we felt right at home. The rooms were very comfortable, the a/c worked in all the rooms, and we had all the towels and amenities we could ask for. Dilenia, the owner was extremely responsive before and after the trip. Some thoughts: Although the beach and dinning is a short 10 minute walk down the mountain, the mountain is steep. Real steep. My friend weighs 300 pounds. Going back up the mountain on foot, not so good if you're not in top shape. We rented a car and got to visit a few beaches like Sosua and Cabarete. Driving in the DR is like a grand theft auto video game and not for the faint of heart but we are glad we rented a car and toured the area. Taxis are expensive for tourists so just a heads up. Pool was clean and delicious but outdoor jacuzzi is not heated. Plenty of places to eat el fresco and we didn't experience any bug bites or mosquitos at or near the house! We did one tour of the waterfalls. It was really awesome if a) you don't mind trying to be sold stuff along the way (cigars, sculptures, coffee) b) you are in great shape. The actual waterfalls were very challenging and only two of the four in the party could participate. The locals depend on tourism so they do their best to earn your money but they aren't pushy and everyone was so friendly. Back to the house. We spent half the time traveling and touring around and the other half at the house. Cristina made us feel like royalty in a mansion and we wouldn't have traded it for any all-inclusive resort...this was so much better!

AMAZING

5 of 5
I had never been to the Dominican Republic and was worried I'd be lost. Rafael was AMAZING! He made us feel extremely comfortable and was more than happy to coordinate excursions, show us around and even contacted a masseuse to come to the villa when I wanted a massage The cook was accommodating and prepared delicious meals. The views are breathtaking and housekeeping was impeccable. Being the only villa at the top we had A LOT of privacy. I'm looking forward to my return!

Our Perfect Vacation

5 of 5
Our family had a perfect vacation at Casi Cielo and I would definitely recommend this property. We were there from July 25th through August 6th and did not want to return home! The location of the property is convenient to the beach, convenience stores, and Ocean World. All were within walking distance so we had no need to rent a vehicle. The owner was very prompt to answer questions and provided excellent information to assure that our vacation was nothing short of perfect. The property and views were more beautiful than the photos. The housekeepers (Lena and Francesca) were there for our every need. Their service was unbeatable and their cooking was loved by everyone in our family! It was definitely relaxing to have all of the household chores, cooking, and laundry done! This is the first vacation that I (the mom) got to relax! Ellio, the grounds keeper was excellent and ran errands for us. He also went out of his way to give our daughters (ages 6,11,and 11) an education on the tropical coconut trees. This was a very good time! Another person (Gus) came to the property and took care of the planning for all of our excursions. This was great as we did not have to leave the villa or disrupt the children playing in the pool. I even managed to get a pedicure while sitting on the beautiful veranda and enjoying the view. We went out on the catamaran excursion and loved it! The views were amazing and the staff was great! The snorkeling was great and the children really enjoyed the outing. We also went to Ocean World and swam with the dolphins. This was by far a wonderful experience for the entire family and a must do for all ages! They even have a DVD you may purchase to remember your trip. We will definitely return to the Dominican Republic and stay at Casi Cielo! Thanks to everyone for giving our family the perfect vacation!
