ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL !

5 of 5
Wow, Casa Pirata is a magnificent house! We stayed over here in June for one week. The villa is perfectly located in the wonderful town Las Terrenas. Close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Every morning by sunrise we had breakfast with the most spectacular views on the beach. The kitchen and living area are one open space, and they join on to an infinity pool with a terrace When you swim in the pool, you got the impression that you are swimming above the sea between the mountains The house is very open, well maintained and the cool breeze of wind that comes into the house is very welcome on a hot day. The rooms are large enough, and most of them got a private bathroom. What in our case was great, we stayed with a company of 5 adults and 4 children. You can just walk to the restaurant ' The spoon beach' where you eat delicious food for a really good price ( 5US$ for an appetizer & main course) We absolutely enjoyed our holiday in Casa Pirata and Las Terranas, and the owner Olivia is very helpful and gives you a lot of information about the activities you can do in Las Terrenas.

EXCEED ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS!

5 of 5
I booked this villa a while back and there were virtually no reviews on the sites about it, so really had little to go on outside of 1 review and the photos, which looked great, but as you know these can sometimes be misleading. In reality these photos didn't do any justice to how amazingly beautiful and well situated this villa actually is, the 1 review was excellent and was completely accurate. We had a very large group, ranging from young children (5 years) to grandparents (80's) and everyone commented on how amazingly well suited the accommodation was for everyone involved. You literally walked across a short (and well kept) lawn onto a private beach, and although we were all together there was never a sense of being on top of each other. The staff were excellent, and I must thank Jose and Omar in particular for making our trip as good as it was. We had some reservations over the set-up with the food initially, as we needed to get the staff to buy groceries and then cook, but this was completely unfounded; the food was excellent, reasonably priced and extremely well cooked, with a good variety to keep everyone happy. There are a range of activities in the area; horse riding, scuba, trip to the waterfalls, zip lining, kite surfing, fishing, etc. so loads there for active groups like ourselves, but equally you could just relax all day in the villa and pool. Las Terrenas town is only a short drive away, and there are a number of good quality restaurants and bars, and around the corner (and in walking distance from the Villa along the beach) there are a number of other restaurants and bars available as well. It’s definitely worth a walk (or drive) down to Louis’s around the corner where you will get the best Pina Colada we've ever tasted! This was truthfully one of the best holidays we have had in years and I would highly recommend both this villa and the Dominican Republic in general.

AMAZING!

5 of 5
I rented this villa for a weekend with my family and it was such an amazing experience. We had so much fun and we got to spend a really nice family time. I wanna thank Monia, for being there with me answering all my questions and doubts, and accommodating us in such a special way. Also, Guido (the maintenance guy), who was so attentive and so courteous with us, taking care of us and the house. Christina (the cleaning lady), was also very nice. She even stayed an extra hour with us. Our overall experience was very good. We didn't even leave the villa, we got there with everything we needed to stay inside the whole time. I would definitely recommend everyone to go to Villa Cocoloba, it is so worth it. I am so looking forward to go there again, but with no kids!
