Beautiful penthouse - highly recommend!

5 of 5
We just returned from a wonderful vacation! This penthouse was beautiful and very spacious. Levon, the owner, was a gracious host from the beginning - answering all of my questions along the way and getting things set up for us prior to our arrival. Margo, the housekeeper was kind and helpful - having breakfast ready for us each morning and cleaning our rooms and bathrooms magically as we ate. She also did a load of laundry for us mid-week. Arsenio, the house manager was helpful as we arrived - he got our golf carts to us (that we had requested through Levon), helped us refill gas and even got groceries for us the first day (we gave him a list and he brought them the next morning). The Penthouse had 3 very large bedrooms and lots of open space to relax, including several balconies. We were there for a family wedding, so didn't spend much time in our Penthouse, except to sleep and eat breakfast. There is a shared pool for every two condo buildings (we actually never saw anybody in it - it was rather quiet in the resort and our area the whole time). It looked beautiful, but we never made it in, as we hit the beach everyday instead. For those who have never been, Casa de Campo is a HUGE resort. And Altos de Chavon (the area the Penthouse is in) is rather far from the beach and some other amenities (but certainly close to golf! and the beautiful Chavon village area with lots of restaurants). We were about 20 mins by golf cart to the beach. Because we had relatives renting a villa quite close to the beach, this didn't bother us as we used their place as "home base" during the day, but if you are looking primarily for a place close to the beach, be warned that this place might be disappointingly far (unless you rent a car instead of golf carts). Otherwise, I would highly recommend this Penthouse - it's beautiful, spacious and supported by very helpful people!
