Best apt, Best location and Best rates

5 of 5
We have already spent two vacations at this condo. The condo is located at the best spot in Cabarete! Directly on the beach you cannot be closer to the warm ocean and still be in the center of town within walking distance to all restaurants and super markets. Beach and the surf are perhaps 50 feet away. Soak up the sun and watch the colorful kite surfers do their stuff in the distance. Restaurant row on the beach is perhaps a two-minute walk, and the food and ambiance are simply outstanding. For grocery needs, the local supermarket is also a short walk down the main street. We have stayed at other condos from the same complex. But Condominium 304 on the third floor is the best. The view is defiantly best from this apt. then from other condos on ground floor or even on the second floor. The third floor condo also offers the most privacy. The decor and furnishing are done very tastefully and very pleasing The layout was spacious enough to easily accommodate 3 couples, The grand terrace views to the ocean; the spacious balcony has teak wood patio furniture is my most favored. Staying at this condo meant for us to be in a private quiet home but still enjoy all the benefits of a hotel. We did not miss a swimming pool at all, Seriously, if you are looking for a break from the all-inclusive scene... this is it... and you'll never go back! The best part of our staying in condo 304 is that we saved lots of dollars booking directly from the owner.

Great location in Cabarete

4 of 5
We recently stayed in this condo in the heart of Cabarete Pros: - Perfect location, 1 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes walk to the heart of the town and also on the right end of town for easy access to Kite Beach and Encuentro - Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Huge bedroom, big living room, decent kitchen, balcony, two full length futons, good shower - Great view of pool area - Quiet even though on main street - Stays cool, we barely needed the A/C at all despite the heat outside Room for improvement - While the main living areas e.g. floors, table tops, bathroom etc. were spotlessly clean, there were several places that were filthy e.g. on top of the fridge, on top of the stove. It wasn't huge deal and I am *not* a clean freak but it was a bit disconcerting to find thick layers of dust and grime in places. - I've stayed in many VRBO places in the US and there were a few things missing that I've come to expect. While there were adequate plates, pans, silverware etc. there were no "starter" supplies and I thought it might be helpful to share the specifics to help future tenants. There was a bar of soap, some laundry soap and some coffee filters, nothing else. No salt and pepper, cooking oil, paper towels, coffee etc. There is no dishwasher but also no supplies for handwashing dishes e.g. dish soap, sponge etc. We even had to buy extra toilet paper as there was not sufficient supplied and the maid did not replace it when she cleaned during the middle of our stay. - There is a DVD player but you should bring your own movies. None are supplied and there is nowhere to rent them in town. Overall this is a great accommodation in a great location, just come prepared with the right expectations and you will have a wonderful time.

Ocean Dreams - absolutely beautiful

5 of 5
We were thrilled when we arrived and found our unit was exactly what we saw on line and more. We were provided with wifi and the use of a phone to call Canada and the US at no charge which came in handy as we had a family issue to deal with. The location was ideal, lots of restaurants and bars within a short walk either by the street or on the beach. The beach was a short walk from our condo unit inside a gated area. The manager was more than helpful and always available for any questions or to make a recommendation of a place to eat or visit. It was nice that there was a book left for us with places to eat, where the groceries stores were, name of a cab driver we could hire, information on the local transportation and the cost and much more. The manager even picked us up at the airport and took us to a large grocery store so we could get a start on stocking up the cupboards and fridge. The grounds in our area, was beautiful, the gardener was there every day making sure that the pool was clean the grounds and flowers were watered and everything was perfect. We would definitely recommend this condo again, unfortunately we cannot get the same unit but we have booked again for next year in the same location. There were lots of great places to eat such as Goriditto's for tacos and burrito's, the Burger Joint, Conchol Loco Bar & Restaurant which serves great Italian food as well as seafood and a great barbecue, Franco the owner is very friendly and a great host definitely a place to visit. A short walk on the beach to the left is a great restaurant called Aqua which makes amazing pizza's, and pasta dishes. Then walk into Caberete and visit PaPi's which has great seafood(shrimp) and pasta. An amazing little bar called Mojito's were you can get 2 for 1 drinks from 2-9 everyday but Tuesday. There are lots of other places including a little German restaurant but I can't remember the name but if you ask anyone there they will tell you how to get there, they have great schnitzel. We hired a cab driver for the day and had him take us up into the mountains and then a stop at a restaurant called LaMolina overlooking Santiogo and Mocha. Lots of kiteboarding and wind surfing happening at the beach which is a great way to spend an afternoon just watching them. Ocean Dreams in Caberete is the place to go, just a short walk to everything and so much to see and do and you feel very safe as it has 24 hour security. Can't wait to get back there next year.
