              Great house, excellent weekend!

              5 of 5
The house was in excellent order when we arrived. The interior was well-suited to support a day of fun activities when the weather didn't cooperate. The deck and canal setting, coupled with the proximity to the beach, made for the perfect spot for our weekend get-away. After we left, the owner was extremely accommodating in returning some forgotten items. Would reserve here again in a heartbeat!

We loved the house, wonderful view

              4 of 5
The house was very nice/clean and the area was great. It is truly close to everything yet far enough away from the madness if you want to relax. The upper deck is the highest one in the immediate area and offers the best view of the beach w/o viewing the neighbors. We would absolutely rent this house again. We rented very early in the season and there were no life guards yet until Memorial Day Wkend, so there was nearly no one around during the week. There were issues we had, which were minor, yet annoying but we figured it was because we were there so early in the season that the owners just didn't get around to making some minor repairs: 1) the screen doors to the main porch were broken or off the track so the doors didn't close all the way, there's a 2 inch gap at the bottom - not really a big deal until the evening when hundreds of small flies get in through the opening and settle on the ceiling above the dining room light. 2) the master bedroom bathroom shower was hard to work and there was hard water build up on the shower heads, which looked terrible even after I scrubbed them. All in all we loved our stay and the little problems were no big deal.

              The best of all worlds

              5 of 5
A family weeks at the ocean! We used the South Bethany parking pass every morning and found "front row" parking. The beach is lovely and not crowded. One row of umbrellas and shade tents. (you can put up shade tents in SB - super for a family with little ones you want to protect from the sun.Two life guards per chair, a great safety feature. Our grand daughters loved the snack cart and the ice cone deliveries. That was just part of our adventure. The canal gave us water access to the state park. Our son brought the dingy off their sail boat, and we used it for rides into the nature reserve where we encountered the birds and other native wildlife. The grassy lawn made for a great whiffle ball field - until a foul ball landed in the canal- time to put the dingy into action. The screened in porch was a morning and evening gathering place for coffee & wine, respectively. Our son is an executive chef and culinary instructor. The newly remodeled kitchen received a real workout during our visit. He was able to find fine seafood at the local seafood store. With a great chef in the house we did not go out to eat so we have no input regarding the local establishments. The best part is that our family was complete because we were able to bring our dogs. We brought their crates and took care to walk them and clean up after them. The great room was the scene of a week of laughter, memories of the past, appreciation of the present and dreams of the future. "Thanks for the Memories"
