Great Beach House Right on the Water

5 of 5
This cold January day is a perfect time to schedule another family vacation at this wonderful beachfront home. Our extended family retreat here last year exceeded expectations. With ages ranging from 6 to 60, we all found plenty of room to play, hike, swim, cook, eat, read, sleep, and explore. Birding enthusiasts will find this a joy, with several sanctuaries nearby. Those among us who like to shop headed a short distance south to Lewes. A great place to enjoy a variety of activities on a family-centered vacation.

Our Christmas at Glenmor Cottage was wonderful!

5 of 5
This was our second time visiting Glenmor Cottage. The first was this past June. And just like then, the home was immaculate, inviting and a perfect get-a-way. The holiday decorations were beautiful and really made it Christmas for us. The lights outside made me smile with we pulled up. It was perfect! From baking christmas cookies to our traditional Chrismas Brunch, the kitchen was a dream. Playing Christmas music throughout the home really made it festive when Santa surprised the grand kids with a visit from the North Pole. :) I know they are going to want to come back to "the beach house" in the future. The icing on the cake had to be the hot tub. Oh my gosh, to be able to relax in the hot tub after a day of holiday fun was fabulous. We cannot thank you enough for sharing your lovely beach home with us. Hope to see you in the summer. -The Chance Family Dave, Karen, Dan, Jen, Bobby, Gizzy and the Grands... Paige and Kali

Fantastic place!

5 of 5
What an adorable, perfect place for a low key, unfussy vacation. The house is one level, 2 bedrooms, cozy living space and kitchen, and narrow wrap around enclosed back porch. Big bonus--about 50 paces to the water. Painted wood floors, old school windows and central air help make this house a charming place to stay. We spent time with the child building sand castles, swimming, wandering out beach combing during low tide, resting on the beach and stargazing at night. Fenced in back yard is perfect for the dogs. So easy. So low key. So quiet. Also, a quick drive to Rehoboth if you want something a bit more lively with larger waves, which we did 2 of the 5 days. Don't forget your towels and sheets, though! Bedrooms are both nicely sized. The kitchen is small, so if you want to do any large scale cooking, you probably should think twice. We used the grill a lot, and boiled corn and had veggies from the local summer farm stands. These 3 humans and 2 dogs found this place a perfect vacation spot.
