Great house, great location, great time!

5 of 5
This home was the perfect vacation home for myself and 7 friends. The house itself was clean and well equipped. With 3 master bedrooms, another bedroom and a few additional baths, the house was perfect for 4 couples (and even had room to spare)! While it's a longer walk to the beach, there is plenty on the way to keep you busy. Accessing the property was easy and the owner was very responsive. Overall, this is a great property for a Rehoboth beach vacation. We will be back!

RELAXING

5 of 5
In addition to all the amenities as advertised, this historic cottage was absolutely charming inside and out. Beautiful setting on Silver Lake and short walk to beach and town. Whimsical garden (the hydrangeas were in full bloom), lovely patio, and interior beachy comfortable feel/layout. Many lovely restaurants in town, however I would advise making reservations before your trip. We loved Bramble and Brine in Rehoboth, and the walkable town of Dewey had some venues for our 20 something members. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time including our chihuahuas. It was so relaxing having them with us. The dogs loved their vacation too. A very dog friendly town and beach nearby. We would definitely recommend this home any time of year. Complete ease of rental process and very thorough information.

Only one problem: I'm not still there!

5 of 5
My family has rented quite a few vacation homes over the years, but none as well appointed as this. So many vacation rentals show the wear and tear of having withstood tenant after tenant. This isn't one of them. It does not feel like a “rental property.” It's more like a very good friend tossed you the keys to his shore house and said, "Hey, go enjoy yourself, just make sure you lock up when you leave." First, there’s the view. I’m never happier than when I'm within a stone’s throw of salt water, and you can not beat this property for that. There is a gorgeous water view from every common area window. Walk into the master bedroom on a sunny afternoon and watch those white curtains blowing gently in the sunshine – so, so relaxing. I sat on the edge of the bed and watched a hummingbird inspect the rose of sharon bush just outside the window….what peace! The area is amazingly quiet. The home is impeccably clean and comfortable. The owners have thought of, and give renters access to, just about everything anyone might need to enjoy a week at the shore. There is a helpful binder full of tips, brochures, and menus. There are beach amenities to borrow, a closet full of party games, extra blankets, and crabbing supplies alongside the propert. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of flatware, plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils and small appliances, not to mention countless other little conveniences that turn up here and there throughout the house, evidencing a sincere desire on behalf of the owners to make their guests feel comfortable and at home. If you’re a crabber, you’re in luck. Plenty of action out there on the dock (if you can get the seagulls to find somewhere else to hold their daily conventions, that is. They do love that dock). I've stayed in so many places where it was clear that the owner only cared to make money on their investment, and really didn't give a rat's behind whether the tenants enjoyed their stay or ever came back. This is most definitely NOT one of those places. The only down side is that it's so very hard to leave, but it's also very easy to dream of returning. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here and are looking forward to coming back again. Thank you so much!
