We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It is in a quiet, family-oriented community, but is close to all the amenities. The house was very clean and provided lots of windows/sliding doors for fresh air. There are 2 rooftop decks that were perfect for watching the bay and the sunrise. A short walk to the dock, complete with benches provided opportunities to watch the birds, fish, and turtles. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the games, and movies that were available. The owner was very gracious and responded quickly to all of my inquiries. 2 bedrooms open onto a screened in porch. The family spent mornings and afternoons here, as it was quite comfortable with the ceiling fan providing a breeze. With 3 full baths and a 1/2 bath, we were able to get ready for outings in a reasonable amount of time too. The owner recommended Indian River Beach, just a 5-10 min. drive from the house. It costs $8 to park (out of state) but the pass is good for the whole day and the beach was much less crowded with plenty of parking available. We also went to the Starboard Restaurant on Rt. 1 in Rehobeth for breakfast (great food, plenty of it and don't forget make your own Bloody Mary's!!!!) Saturday we went to the Lobster Shanty on Rt. 54, Fenwick Island. The meal was great, but I would highly recommend getting there early as it filled up quickly during the dinner hour. It's near Harpoon Hannah's which is another great place to go. If you're looking for a place to get away and enjoy some time with family and/or friends this is a great place to go. We had 4 generations there with ages ranging from 21 months to 84 years and had a wonderful time. I am already looking at some additional dates to go back to this wonderful retreat!
