        Great Honeymoon Home

        5 of 5
We had a very enjoyable time at the dolphin house. We were at the house for 7 days on our honeymoon! We got in late the first night and stayed at a hotel in town that was very hard to find on account of most of the streets are not really named except for on the map. However the next day the Dolphin house was simple to get too, especially with Nancy's directions. The house has more inside than when the pictures were taken (an island thing with a toaster oven and place to prepare food, a bookshelf, better seating in TV area) and it also is bigger than the pictures make it seem. There were a number of minor maintenance issues but nothing severe enough to call the property manager - I left him a long detailed note when we left. He was pretty hands off otherwise. He called us midweek to see if we wanted new towels and such, but that was all we heard from him. We did get to meet the pool guy who came to clean the pool while we were home. It is like living outdoors. The birds are very friendly and will come right in the house. There is a light for the pool on the side of the house that we didn't discover until our last night! :-P We did a number of fun things around the island but the house was delightful enough that we didn't even leave a couple of the days. Wine glasses were conspicuously absent, but there were plenty of other fun dishes to use. It was always a delightful temperature, though the A/C was nice at night. We spent $80 dollars on groceries for the week for the two of us and ate out only a handful of times. We went down the hill to the Karakter to eat dinner one night but it was dark and we did not realize there was a large beach until we randomly stopped down a different day to watch the sunset! We got to watch that sunset while standing in the ocean :-) One other notable experience was when we climbed Mt. Christophel, and when we got to the top, we ran into a girl my wife knows from our home in Eau Claire, WI! Small world. Overall, we are very pleased. Oh, and Nancy was very generous to us, giving us a couple "honeymoon extras." Thank you, Nancy!
