PERFECT PLACE, PERFECT LOCATION

5 of 5
My fiancee and I were fortunate enough to stay here for our week vacation. I wondered if the place could really be as nice in person as it was in the pictures. Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. We arrived at the gate in front of the complex and were informed where to go. When we pulled in, we were greeted by Josette who showed us around the place and gave us some very helpful tips about the island. Everything about the place was immaculate. With two bedrooms and two and a half baths, open kitchen and living room, comfortable beds, you really can't ask for more. Not to mention, the location is so convenient to the main attractions of the island. It is also just far enough away from downtown where you will have your own space and seclusion. I would definitely recommend a rental car. Some of the beaches are tough to find and only reached by gravel roads. There is a public beach right across the street as well as a private one with a couple of restaurant/bars located just next to the Hilton. We also enjoyed just sitting out on the terrace or by the pool. I want to thank Niek for responding to my countless emails. He was so helpful and made the rental process extremely easy. He even had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. Luckily for me, I proposed to my girlfriend on this vacation so we will be able to celebrate anniversaries at this wonderful place.

A WONDERFUL PLACE!

5 of 5
We stayed for 11 days and we regret that we couldn't stay longer but unfortunately we had to go back to work. Everything was working very well, from start to end. The few times we needed support from the property managers it was excellent! The apartment was very good, all we needed was there. First we thought that we would manage without a car but quite soon we found out that we were wrong. We wanted to see more of the island and then it was of course very convenient to have a rental car. I think it was easy to drive on Curacao and we visited a lot of beaches along the coast. Our favourite turned out to be santa Maria even though all beaches were good. We choose not to go to Klein Curacao due to the windy weather. We visited sea academy and had a swim with the dolphins which was nice :) All in all - a wonderful place, easy living, no bugs or dangerous animals, perfect temperature on shore and in the sea, nice snorkling. Highly recommended! Nilsson family

GREAT LOCATION!

4 of 5
We were two couples that shared this apartment. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance to everything you could do in Willemstad. We never tired of sitting on the balcony watching the Queen Emma bridge opening and the ships going by. It was also nice in the evenings to have live music from the Cafe Iguano just below. You could spend day and night being entertained on the balcony. We were provided with everything we needed including a local cellphone. Jahmir picked us up at the Airport and brought us to the apartment. Then he brought to Mangusa's supermarket (which is huge). Jahmir was excellent and very courteous and helpful. Near the apartment is San Pedro supermarket which is small but adequate. Also nearby is the floating market with lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood. The apartment is located within the shopping area comprised of many small stores. Unfortunately these all close early (by 8 PM) except full service bars and restaurants. It does warrant being more careful in these small streets where the shops are after things close though the apartment itself has a security person. The casinos are open late. Although the apartment could have been cleaner it was very comfortable and provided us with everything we needed. The Air Conditioning worked very well, the beds were comfortable and there was lots of hot water. The best burger ever was at the Q restaurant which also serves the Blue Ocean drink made with blue curacao. We had a great meal at the Steak and Ribs at the Rif Fort. Try the Tres Leche cake - to die for. Also make a great Mojito. Excellent location, food and service. In the alley next to the Q restaurant is also an interesting find. Part of the Don Marco building is a take out that has steady business serving local food. On the downside, the Burger Bar at Rif Fort had horrible service. The La Bahai at the Otrabanda Resort was mediocre at best though they tried. The Kura Hulanda museum is a must see. It has a surprisingly vast array of artifacts including those from the slave era that was part of Curacao's history. Overall we found it a very friendly island with no shortage of things to see and do. Being in the downtown area gave us a great introduction to Curacao. The history, architecture and culture are everywhere. We really enjoyed being there and would highly recommend going and staying at this apartment. The owner was great and responded quickly to requests.
