We were a group of 23 staying at this lovely villa for a family reunion. We could not have picked a better villa or location. The villa is located in a gated community about 45 minutes away from Willemstad and about 20 minutes from a large supermarket. There is also a smaller market located closer to the villa. The villa was very spacious and had an open floor plan. Even though there were 23 of us, we never felt crowded or cramped. There was always some place to go on the property – there was a separate building with the movie theater and bedrooms and bathroom; there were several levels with patios and chairs which lead down to the beach; the outside covered area with modular seating and a dining table; etc. The view was better than the pictures and was just breathtaking. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the sun and tropical breezes. The beach at the house is very nice, but the water is a little rough if you have small children or adults that are not confident in rough waters. There’s a lot of coral on the beach (which I guess is to be expected when the development is called Coral Estates), so water shoes are a necessity if going in the water. The kids loved playing down there in the sand. We cooked most meals in the well-equipped kitchen but did venture out to Blue Bay Resort to take the kids diving and enjoy the beach amenities (showers, restaurant, kayaks, etc.). We also went to Karakters, which is down the road from the house about a mile or so. I would recommend going there if you are looking for a nice place to have some food and drinks and don’t want to travel far. It also a good place for snorkeling. The Porto Marie beach close to the house was very nice too. The property manager, Gino, was extremely helpful and easy to contact. Although we really didn’t have any problems, (a small problem with the hot tub not working correctly) we did have a few questions after he had left us and he was very quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful, getaway. Thanks, Frank!
