Amazing all around!

Below is an email we sent the owners upon our return. We feel it appropriately depicts our satisfaction! Big tips for renting from this lovely couple: 1. Read the instructions/suggestions they send you. They were VERY helpful and informative and helped us really get the most out of the island and stay safe while doing so! 2. Verify the gate code soon before getting there as it sounds like it changes often, if the code doesn't work make sure to follow the instructions they give you. "OH MY, what a gorgeous slice of heaven. From as soon as we got in that gate until we left, we felt such a sense of ease, calm and beauty. We LOVED Westpunt. What a beautiful little town. I'm afraid for it to become too built up!!! The grounds at Marazul were immaculate, which was a pleasant add-on surprise. The town-home was exactly what you described/advertised. The position of your two places were just so perfect compared to others. All appliances worked perfectly, and it was so nice to have a loaded kitchen. Rene (property manager) was extremely pleasant and recommended a few other things to do as well, which worked out perfectly (i.e. Snorkeling with the turtles at Watamula and dinner at Trio Penotti, holy crap, great... affordable food!!!). We really struggled to identify any constructive feedback, and all we could come up with was the passcode being changed, but your instructions on how to handle the problem was perfect!! ... and the slider door was tough to lock (took some wiggling). Beyond that everything was perfect!!! Thank you very much for all of the useful information you sent us. I kept telling my wife that your info alone was worth the cost of staying there! We met up with Sunshine and had a fantastic dinner at Sol Foo, then actually bumped in to her at Trio Penotti two nights later. What a sweet, special person... We were so envious of her lifestyle! We also determined that she is from the next town over from where we live. Small world!! With your and Sunshine's advice we: -Climbed Chistoffel.... So sweaty but amazing!!! -Went to Shete boca.... Beautiful and unique! -and found some of the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling we've every experienced... especially liked Playa Lagun, Knip Klein, and snorkeling at the blueroom. I would recommend your townhome and Marazul to anyone... Especially those willing to do a little exploring on their vacation, which this location and island lends to perfectly.

Beautiful Ocean front resort!!

5 of 5
We visited this resort for our honeymoon. The town house was in great condition with all the appliances you could need. A grill was provided on the back porch and we were able to grill out and watch the beautiful sunset most nights. There are walk downs behind the town house to jump into the ocean and we were able to swim to the next beach. The water is crystal clear and we were able to see many types of fish as well as swim with 3 sea turtles! Sol Food was a wonderful place to go to on the weekend. We ate there twice as well as got a pizza to go for sunday night football! Jaanchi's was also delicious, very authentic food. The resort was well kept and halfway through our stay the towels were replaced with new and the town home cleaned. We were able to have a consistent breeze with just the back screen door open. The resort was very welcoming and we met two wonderful couples who were able to give us the advice to go to shete boka national park as well as the breath of curaçao. They had visited curaçao many times and now choose to only stay in this resort due to the close proximity of multiple beaches. Playa lagun and both the big and little knip were a short drive away and had great snorkeling. We were able to swim with more sea turtles and saw so many different types of parrot fish! Although we chose to snorkel most days, there were multiple hiking trails recommended that we hope to try next visit. This resort was in a perfect location for a calm and relaxing vacation with the possibility of many wonderful activities. We hope to return next year for our anniversary!

Excellent choice for Westpunt

4 of 5
My husband and I spent a week in this condo. I loved staying at Marazul Dive Resort. It was quiet, clean, safe. The grounds are attractive. I loved the pool, which was attractive and very well maintained. The caretaker was easy to find and helpful. People were friendly. The view is lovely and we got to see lots of attractive birds and iguanas on the property. It's easy to get to and there's lots of beaches, snorkeling and diving very close by. The condo itself is perfect for a couple. It has a pull out sofa (which is comfortable to sit on) but I think it would be too crowded for 2 couples. 1 or 2 children would probably be fine. It was clean and well equipped. I personally loved the location by the pool. We used the washing machine for 1 load and that was useful to have. We only used the AC in the bedroom at night for sleeping. We did most of our cooking at the condo, but with the breezy conditions, it didn't get too hot with all the louvres and screen doors providing good air circulation. I heard that there's little wind in August and September, so perhaps the AC on the ground floor would be needed then. We shopped at Centrum twice, which does have bags (even though we brought our own, so don't panic if you forgot shopping bags). We also bought fresh tuna one afternoon at 2 beaches north of MDR, which fed us for 3 meals, as we had to buy a minimum amount. For non snorkeling activities, we visited the 2 national parks, which are super close and were nice to see. Also very close was Tula Museum. We hiked up Christoffel Mountain. We visited Hato caves, the flamingos and before coming to MDR we spent 2 nights in Willemsted, also worth a visit. Willemsted could easily be done as a day trip from the condo as it's less than a 40 minute drive away. Communication with the owners was easy and they are helpful. I would highly recommend this condo for those looking for a quiet place in an excellent location, and who are self sufficient (this is a condo after all, not a hotel).
