Feels like home.

5 of 5
I choose this place based on some reviews and pictures, after some email exchanged with Stella and Patrick I was sure that I would stay there, all ways very patience to reply all my questions and give me a bunch of tips. When arrived I felt in home, everything very clear and organised. Next day we felt so relaxed with the view that we didn't anything beside stay in the sofa looking to the see. At morning you don't need the air conditioning in the living room, just open the windows and will have a nice breeze. The Local manager is extremely kind and always available to help you with some infos and tips. You can snorkeling just 30m from your door or relax at pool or even enjoy the iguanas around the area, probably you will meet Igor the iguana. :) The location is also good with some restaurants around and the best beaches as well. Playa Grandi the smallest one is just a 1 or 2 km. Kenepa Grandi is not so far and it is amazing, near buy still have Kenepa Chic and Lagun, jeremy and Santa Cru. For us the best one was Cas Abou, a little bit far but good. We had only one problem that actually was not so bad that was 3 days without internet at end of our stay and we couldn't keep family and friends updated until arrive the airport. I really recommend it and I hope to come back in another season beside the rainy one. :)

Spectacular return trip!

5 of 5
This was our second vacation at Marazul, our first stay in 7A. Steve and Linda were terrific with sending all the information we needed before we came. It just so happened that they were there the same time we were. It was awesome to meet them both and be the recipients of their hospitality. Their knowledge of the island and species of fish we saw while snorkeling were extremely helpful. We had fun sharing stories of our daily adventures. This trip we saw more species of fish then our previous trip. The snorkeling was absolutely awesome. At Playa Forti we swam with 2 turtles. We returned there a number of times in our 2 week stay and each time the turtles were there and we even got to touch them! Another great snorkeling location was Playa Kalki where we saw numerous eel and got great pictures and videos of octopus. Lots of pictures were taken and when we were going thru them upon returning home, we realized one fish we had a picture of was a baracuda! This trip we also saw squid which we never have seen before. Each beach you go to offers something different and no two days are the same. We are in awe of what lies beneath the surface of the ocean. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the evenings with a glass of wine sitting and waiting for the green flash as the sun sank. Yes, there is a green flash! We had everything we needed in 7A. It was our home away from home. We love Marazul for the quietness, and the feeling it gives of home. When you return from your adventures at the end of the day, it's nice to sit in the quietness on your deck and just relax. We have seen other resorts on the island, and nothing compares to Marazul. There is lots to do on the island. You have a choice of how busy you want to be. We highly recommend D&D for renting your car. Daniel is awesome. We are planning on returning again to Marazul. We again will plan to stay in 7A. Thank you Steve and Linda!!

Peacefull and relaxing resort

5 of 5
We have visited Curacao from the 18th of September till the 5th of October. The last few days we've spent close to Willemstad in Hotel Marriott just to compare the Northern part of the island with the Southern part. I have to say we regreted that we did so. Would have stayed the whole time at Cindy's apartment and up in the Northern part. So already before arriving, we were pretty satisfied cause Cindy sent us so many info on where to buy food, fill up the car, eat, visit or dive that we knew we were in good hands. Just skip the restaurant Janchiee's but other than that great hints. Sol Food was such a nice place! The owner Sunshine keeps you up to date regarding what's going on the island and the food is tasty. Trio Penotti again excellent food, great service. So we arrived at the apartment which is spacious and the view from the balcony is beautiful. We tended to have breakfast downstairs though and enjoyed the sunset right beside the stonefence. This view right in front of the apartment is beyond imagination, beats Marriott's beach or view by far. The best beaches are close to Marazul dive resort with the white powder like sand. During breakfast we had the company of hummingbirds and could admire the lovely, funny iguanas which are mad about red and orange color. If you are lucky enough, you meet Igor who is the iguana with the hole in the extra skin under it's chin. Those are lovely creatures. They love to eat veggie and fruits. They always take it easy, sometimes small fights over food or best sunbathing spots but other than that lazy loveable lizards. They are also protected by law which I really liked. Everything worked in Cindy's apartment apart from one tap which Renee repaired immediately when we asked him. He is the guy who keeps you happy, answers all your questions, repairs everything and has a great honest smile everytime you meet during your stay. We could not have asked for more. We loved Westpunt, Cindy's home, the view and the nature. Plus Renee. Whoever visits Marazul Dive Center and meets Him, please tell him greetings from Janne and Gabi (the woman who rarely speaks :) from Finland! We have to thank Cindy for our very pleasant and nice stay. She already knows that we are going to go back next year. We definitely recommend her apartment!
