We stayed here for a week in July, and it really was the perfect place to stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the views from both the private balcony and the pool area are fantastic.
The walk into Dubrovnik does take about 15 minutes using the most direct route down the steps, but there are other routes you can take which have less steps if you prefer. One day we did actually count the steps and there are 462, but don't let that put you off as bus number 3 stops very close to the apartment and is an efficient and inexpensive way to get to and from the old town. There is a copy of the bus timetable in the apartment - just remember where possible to buy your bus tickets in advance from the kiosk just outside the old town (where the bus stop is) as they are cheaper than buying them on the bus. You can buy them in advance as you validate them when you get on the bus.
On our arrival, Rina pointed us in the direction of a small supermarket, not too far away, which had everything we needed for our stay.
There are actually 2 apartments here, so we did not have the pool completely to ourselves; however, there are sufficient sun loungers for both apartments and there is plenty of space around the pool. The pool itself is the perfect size to cool off in, and has some bubble jets for fun!
Rina is lovely and is more than happy to help with questions or booking taxis etc. yet she does not intrude.
The cable car ride is a must, but if you want to eat at the restaurant at the top do phone and book in advance asking for a good view. You're unlikely to get one of the front tables if you just turn up, we booked a day ahead and got the best table!
Dubrovnik is a wonderful place, the people are very friendly, and Rina and this apartment will make you feel even more at home. I would definitely recommend staying here.
