A perfect place to stay!

5 of 5
We stayed here for a week in July, and it really was the perfect place to stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the views from both the private balcony and the pool area are fantastic. The walk into Dubrovnik does take about 15 minutes using the most direct route down the steps, but there are other routes you can take which have less steps if you prefer. One day we did actually count the steps and there are 462, but don't let that put you off as bus number 3 stops very close to the apartment and is an efficient and inexpensive way to get to and from the old town. There is a copy of the bus timetable in the apartment - just remember where possible to buy your bus tickets in advance from the kiosk just outside the old town (where the bus stop is) as they are cheaper than buying them on the bus. You can buy them in advance as you validate them when you get on the bus. On our arrival, Rina pointed us in the direction of a small supermarket, not too far away, which had everything we needed for our stay. There are actually 2 apartments here, so we did not have the pool completely to ourselves; however, there are sufficient sun loungers for both apartments and there is plenty of space around the pool. The pool itself is the perfect size to cool off in, and has some bubble jets for fun! Rina is lovely and is more than happy to help with questions or booking taxis etc. yet she does not intrude. The cable car ride is a must, but if you want to eat at the restaurant at the top do phone and book in advance asking for a good view. You're unlikely to get one of the front tables if you just turn up, we booked a day ahead and got the best table! Dubrovnik is a wonderful place, the people are very friendly, and Rina and this apartment will make you feel even more at home. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great views of the Harbour

5 of 5
Great little place with everything you need, with modern decor and fittings. The view over the sea and terrace is the best thing about this place in Lapad and close to eveything you need including a couple of really nice places to eat. Dubrovnik centre is about only a 10 min bus journey away, meaning the apartmennt is a bit more spacious and better value than a central equivalent, but in my opinion much better. Mato was really helpful, and a great guide to the area. He can also arrange airport transfers. Would recommend to all.

"Great holiday and lovely time"

5 of 5
We sayed for week at this wonderful holiday villa with a group of 8 friends to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We could not have wished for a better stay. Upon arrival, the owner Irene meet us, showed us around and was most helpful! We were provided with fresh almonds and homemade liker, and introduced with a brief history of the area and the house - we were most impressed.....spesually pool terrase with nice view and Spa pool area. Throughout the stay the owner and his family could not have been more helpful; additionaly, Irena who helped us organised the stay was fantastic, and helped us arrange a hire large car for one daily trip to Montenegro, allowing trips to Old Town, trip to Island from Zaton and daily trip to Staon Walls. The villa was situated in an nice location, 8 of Km from Dubrovnik, providing the serenity one expects with a villa, whilst having supermarket within walking distance, also near is bus station and restaurants. We are recommended Restaurant Casar in Zaton Veliki,it`s been great meals there with fresh fish, mussels and home made wine. I really cannot sing enough praise about this house, the owners Irena & Pero the Dubrovnik area, and the local Croatian people. We were made at home everywhere we went, were not 'fleeced' by anyone, the food was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced - benefits which we thought would have been eroded as Croatia has become more frequented by tourists. This really is the place to stay - Dubrovnik is a day/evening trip city, and we found Zaton much more relaxed. Thanks for all. Halvard & Lisa
