It's hard to find a better location than this - right on the beach! This was a great rental, everything is as advertised. Pia was quick to communicate, answer questions or offer advice. I would definitely recommend.

We this about Milarepa every day. We stayed there for nearly a month and grew to love it more and more each day. The main "house" is an open air kitchen/dining/living area. Very open and social. A music system accepts iPhones and iPads and the like to create the atmosphere of our choice. A daily maintained pool and patio is directly outside the main building. Each of the four bungalow "sleeping cottages" are also open air, simple in decor, featuring outdoor showers and covered toilets and sinks. We signed up for cooking and laundry and cleaning in and out (was part of our package) and the team became part of our family. They were great to have around, and of course kept the place ship shape every day. The owners helped us get in touch with ATV rentals, surf instructors, and even helped us get our kids enrolled in the local school for a couple of weeks. They were awesome. The beach is super private, and next door neighbors are a very quiet, upscale hotel (Florablanca?) that further keeps things peaceful and safe. Love Milarepa. Hope to return soon!

Our stay at Casa Macondo was incredible. The villas are secured behind a gate, so we felt completely safe. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The villas are brilliantly designed to bring the outdoors in, and are oriented in a way that affords complete privacy from other guests. The wonderful tropical trail to the beach was pleasant. Dahlia is the on site manager, but I hate to say it that way because she is so much more than that. She's a delightful, knowledgeable and extremely helpful host, guide, translator, etc. She made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The Nicoya peninsula IS Costa Rica..it's worth the adventure to make your way to this more remote part of the country. We can't wait to come back next year.
