The city of San Jose is such a large area, location just cannot be stressed enough. The location of this condo is perfect. It's in a quite location, so you can relax and enjoy your time at the condo. But it's also close enough to walk to the nearby mall and shopping area so you can get food and other things without having to pay the expense of a taxi. (In Costa Rica taxi's are very expensive.) It's also close to the airport which is very convenient. Being only ten minutes away from the airport is always a plus. Then there's the condo itself. The setup is so nice that you really lack nothing. There's a kitchen you can use if you don't want to go out for food. You can do your laundry right in the condo. There is phone that you can use to call the States for free, WiFi internet, cable TV and a Blu-Ray player. The condo was very clean the beds were very comfortable. Can't wait to stay here again!

My friends and I stayed at Villa Erika for a week while traveling through Costa Rica. The house and property are absolutely gorgeous. It's huge inside, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. There were six of us staying there, and we were all able to find some quiet space to ourselves. The kitchen was very large, and well equipped. We cooked a few nice dinners there during our stay. Also, having access to washer/dryer was very nice. From the front lawn there is a nice view of Alajuela and the mountains to the south. Everyone involved, from the owners to the nice lady who cooked us breakfast and tidied up, were helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Climate there was also nice, usually 80F during the days and 55F at night. There were hot showers, which should not be taken for granted in Costa Rica. The house is also located near lots of fun things to do, such as explore the nearby town of Barva, two volcanoes, a canopy tour, and many inexpensive bars/restaurants. That being said, when on the Villa Erika property, one feels nicely secluded from the rest of the world. Cannot recommend this place enough!

If you are looking for adventures close to nature & authentic farm life, do not miss a stay on this farm. The nature is impressive (first of all the primary forest), the farm is well maintained & there are a lot of things to do. From the swimming pool you have a great view over the wooded hills. It is perfect to forget the everyday life!
