Perfect Private Getaway

5 of 5
My friend recommended this place to me, saying it was well worth the cost because you basically stay in a downtown abbey treehouse. Though there wasn't any fun british drama, there were six people on staff to make sure our stay was impeccable. The pool was gorgeous. Because it's an infinity pool, there were literally NO bugs floating on the water. Hard to believe in the middle of a rain forest! The bathrooms are amazing. Clean, gorgeous, with good water pressure in the showers. This place was truly beautiful. And we were right on the water. A minute's walk to the beach, if that. Though it's technically a public beach, there were maybe one or two other people for about a mile's radius. In the far distance we could see beach umbrellas, but it was basically our own private slice of ocean. It was awesome because we could see no other houses from our deck, but at the same time if we wanted to go out to eat, we could get to several cute local restaurants just by walking! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone with the financial resources to pay for it. There are enough rooms that you could get a big group of friends to go and split the cost. That's what I want to do so that I can go again.

Spectacular Home.

5 of 5
This was our second vacation as a family in Costa Rica, the first one being a rugged Hike, Bike & Raft adventure. This time we were looking for comfort and fun and Case Blue certainly fit the bill. It is an architectural showpiece; a combination of California surf and Tibetan serenity situated in a beautiful Costa Rican setting. Our family spent two weeks there over the holidays and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is well equipped and superbly maintained. It's location allows for total privacy yet is located close to Playa Grande for good surfing. As well, day trips to other Costa Rican favourites are accessible...hiking, turtle watching, zip lining, fishing, yoga classes, restaurants, etc, although we primarily ate in because the kitchen and house were so self contained and beautiful...there are good local grocery stores to shop in and practice your Spanish! The pool (which is literally an infinity lap pool) and it's deck expand out to showcase an amazing ocean vista below all the while sitting right in the jungle with the wildlife around us. A recommended local French chef came in to cook/teach our gang one night and it was tons of fun and superbly delicious...just a fabulous place to hang out and enjoy each other's company. The pictures and video do not do it justice...we would highly reccommend it.

Imagine Paradise

5 of 5
Imagine paradise, now imagine your home in Paradise; Casa Bella Vista! The Villa is nestled in the jungle high above the rest of Manuel Antonio, but within walking distance to restaurants, stores and an ATM. A bit of a trek to the beach but doable or a quick taxi ride with a great payoff, awesome beaches and fun restaurants with ceviche and plenty of beer or the local drink cacique. When we got to CBV we were greeted by the wonderful smile and warm welcome of our gracious and generous host/concierge Sani Teni. We had arranged all our tours and activities in advance with Sani. All our activities were 1st class and made our stay effortless and exceptional. CBV includes, Sani, our guard Coco who alerted us to all visiting and resident animals. 3 resident sloths, mamma, baby and male, toucans, other birds, troops of Spider, White Face and Howler monkeys, lizards and frogs to name the coolest animals that came by. We had maid service daily, laundry service and a chef by request. We had an amazing dinner elegantly prepared and served on our beautiful patio overlooking the infinity pool that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The picture cannot do justice to the serene and exquisite view. Our group of 8 recommend the Villa and the immense expertise of Sani.
