Best trip I've ever experienced in my life.

5 of 5
I researched extensively for almost a year until I found Storm and Amys house. I researched areas, homes, condos and everything else and found this gem. I was iffy at first booking online with a majority of the places that I looked at on here but once I started conversing with storm I knew this was the place. The house is about a 3 1/2 drive from San Jose which was totally worth it and actually a great and scenic drive. We pulled in late and went up the steep mountian and was in awe of how nice the house was. The other couple that we stayed with woke us up at 530 the next morning to show us the view (knowing it was dark when we arrived) from the house. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had looking out into the vast ocean as well as the rainforest mountain (yes you see both from the patio).. Amy and storm were amazing during our stay setting us up with trips and always checking in to see if we needed anything. They actually set up our first trip that was the horse backing ride and helped me planned my engagement. I asked my fiancé to marry me at the Nayuca waterfalls and the Horse backing ride. Amazing experience. . 2 minutes from down town Domincal.. if your looking for a rejuice from your crazy life of work and always busy. THIS IS THE SPOT. You won't be disappointed !!!

Rising Sun Beyond All Expectations

5 of 5
My stay at Rising Sun in Manuel Antonio Quepos Costa Rica was simply perfect. The main house has a beautiful floor plan and offers two balconies with breath-taking views of the ocean. The property was impeccably decorated and kept spotless by the cleaning staff that showed up everyday. The pool slide and hot tub area was the center of our afternoon get-togethers. The outdoor BBQ and dining patio on top of the guest house is perfect for sunset and sunrise viewing. Everyday I was there the monkeys visited the villa. On the first day a group of endangered Titi Monkeys made an appearance. Many of them were carrying babies on their backs. Later that day and almost every evening and morning the Capuchin Monkeys came to visit explore and jump on the pool slide. The illusive Howler Monkeys were heard all around the surrounding jungle but only one was seen very late at night. Tropical songbirds and hawks nested in the trees and filled the skies. The rental included a hearty breakfast up the road at Hotel Byblos. The area is very tourist friendly and there are plenty of shops banks and markets in Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Public transportation in the area is very nice and taxis are easy to find. The beaches are beautiful. Quite possibly the best vacation I have ever been on. I believe I left my heart in Manuel Antonio

Perfect group retreat!

5 of 5
After making a few wrong turns we finally found the quiet, fairly secluded Guiones Beach club and the stunning Paloma Azul. The place completely exceeded expectations! Each room had its own private bath and A/C, fan and beautiful high cathedral ceilings. The outdoor combination living "room" and kitchen were a treat to have as a communal area for games, yoga, breakfast, lunch, and general lounging. The set up was perfect for our group of ladies wanting some privacy and relaxation and possibly often times operating different schedules. The beach is a short walk down a private path making it easy to come and go as you please. The walk into "town" is a bit longer by road but a beautiful stroll on the beach gives you access to all the various access points to restaurants, shops, etc. Being on the southern end of Nosara made it feel more private yet accessible - a fantastic combination. Nosara is quite clearly a special place and the secret (if there was one) is out. It appears that the lots surrounding Paloma Azul are for sale, so the feeling of being tucked away may indeed change in years to come. We loved the staff, especially Bernando and Elena, the chef. They were professional and always available for all of our requests without ever feeling intrusive. We wanted to take them with us :) Lulu the dog was so sweet and would greet us coming "home" on our walks up from the beach. Truly a wonderful retreat.
