Beautiful house, great for seeing monkeys

4 of 5
The house was beautiful, and was a great location for seeing monkeys and a sloth right there from the balcony. The view from the house is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were nice, some definitely more so than others, though. And expect bugs inside the house and ants in the kitchen, as you might expect when living in the rainforest. It wasn't bad, just plan on it and keep most of your food in the ref ridge. Alberto (the property manager) was very nice and helpful, booked a tour for us and even took us to the farmer's market in Quepos for fresh fish and produce. Monica our housekeeper was wonderful and she came every day to clean the kitchen and do laundry. She even showed us how to make starfruit juice! My only disappointment was that the house was not very walkable to the beaches or park entrance like it says on the website and some reviews. My family and I are in excellent shape, but to walk along the main road that leads to the beaches or park was NOT safe at all because there is no space for walking and you have to literally dodge cars. And it took WAY longer than it claims on the website. You can walk to some shops, cafes and a little grocery store (which is expensive even by US standards, so beware), but not to any of the main sites or beaches in the area. Sure, you can take the local bus or a taxi, but we chose this house based on walking distance as the description/website promises ... and was disappointed to find it wasn't walkable like we thought. Besides that everything else was accurate as mentioned and we had a great time. We loved Playa Biesanz (the local tico beach) but again don't plan on walking, at least not on the way back as it's quite challenging and long. And Manuel Antonio Beach inside the park is gorgeous. One tip: hire a guide for the park as you might not see any animals otherwise. Also, eat at Cafe Agua Azul, it was amazing! And very close to the street where the house is located. The people there were so nice and the food was delicious.

Wonderful, wonderful, and more wonderful

5 of 5
Villa Perezoso is the most beautiful vacation rental my family has stayed in! The Manuel Antonio area is full of activities and the staff is eager the set up amazing adventures for you and your family/friends. The property itself is beyond words! Very clean and well maintained. The pool/deck views are breathtaking. Randall, the house manager, is very helpful, attentive, and eager to please! He set up surfing, white water rafting, deep sea fishing, massages, atv tour, and hikes to waterfalls for my family and I! Ober, the chef, is a world trained chef that makes nothing short of five star quality restaurant meals! We had paella, sushi, BBQ, fish, salads, and mouth watering desserts all with local flare. My family and I have been twice and we fully intend to return next year! Do yourself a favor and if you are heading to Costa Rica stay at Villa Perezoso! You will not be disappointed!

Exceeded All Expectations

5 of 5
Casa Pura Vista cannot be summed up in a review. All of the previous reviews did not do it justice and neither will mine. The breath taking design of the home compliments the natural beauty of Costa Rica. The grounds are impeccably keep. The wildlife is spectacular. Chef's meals were elegant but casual. We enjoyed his meals more than the local restaurants. He even prepared beach picnics for us. The beach service was very easy to use. Kimberly's attention to detail created the perfect, flawless vacation. My only suggestion is to bring a sleep mask if you are not an early riser. The beautiful windows in the king suite do not have curtains. However, waking to butterflies flitting by made me a morning person!
