Amazing experience!!

5 of 5
It was all what my wife and I had dreamed of when we decided to spend our vacations in Costa Rica. Wild but sophisticated. Close to Santa Teresa when we wanted to experience local gourmet restaurants. We love sports so we enjoyed the surfing, kayaking, biking and riding horse all over the Grew's farm. Thank you Vero and Nat for the hospitality. We'll be back!!

Only 3 1/2 blocks walk from the Cocal Hotel and Playa Jaco!

5 of 5
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were 4 guys splitting this 4 BR, 6 bath, 2 kitchen split condo inside a high walled compound with small pool. Great for cooling off with our guests. Located on a quiet side street in a safe area. Our shared per night cost was WAY below that charged by any of the decent hotels during our high season visit. Way below! A great value for 2 couples or 4 singles. Plenty of space to move around inside this totally walled off mini compound. Spiral staircase to the rooftop veranda offers a decent view and is a great place to chill and smoke some cigars. Our many visitors REALLY enjoyed the ambiance as well. A great alternative to the noisy, high priced hotels on the strip with tons of space. Spacious walk-in closets in the upstairs bedrooms. If you don't feel like walking back from the main street beach area a taxi costs $1-2 bucks. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

La Floresta is a truly beautiful and magical place

5 of 5
We absolutely loved our stay at La Floresta. We stayed for 4 weeks in the spacious 2 bedroom house set amid a forest of trees and flowering plants opening on its own private ocean view. The house has a fully equipped large kitchen with gas stove, large oven, blender, everything we could want as two people who like to cook. There is also an outdoor cooking area with a beautifully crafted cooking grate that swings over the open cooking fire. We frequently cooked chicken and fresh fish from a local fisherman who lived just up the road from us. One of our favorite features of the house was the large covered but open on three sides area that formed an open living area facing the ocean and forested garden area. It was beautifully furnished with a large, hand crafted dining table and chairs, sumptuous day bed, hammocks of course, and even a rocking chair! When we were anywhere on the La Floresta property we felt like we were all alone together in an exotic paradise but, in fact, we could easily step out the property gate and walk to the nearby lovely village of Cabuya for groceries or to eat at one of the excellent family owned restaurants. Claudia, the owner and manager of the property, is a very fine artist and a lovely and gracious person to get to know. Claudia has her house and studio on the property but the estate is so large and fully landscaped that we really never knew if she was home or not unless we walked the path to her house and knocked on her door. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we tried to book the house with Claudia for our next visit to the area later in the year but, of course, she was already booked! Anyone who has the privilege to stay in this wonderful place is lucky indeed!
