More than just a house

5 of 5
The Bali House is more than just a house. Imagine renting out your own resort. That's right your own resort. We recently returned from a short stay at this gorgeous place and couldn't have been more happy. Yes a few things could be better (hot water in master) (ants in kitchen) but let me explain we would go back in a heartbeat. We have been to Manuel Antonio and stayed at great resort houses like Tulemar and Issimo suites. This takes it to a different level. Picture having your own beautiful room and view but sharing a common area with all of your best friends. Each couple had a romantic suite packed with exquisite furniture and amazing fixtures. When we decided to wake up we went into the giant family room which is shared by all. Great appliances, great furniture and a view of the pool that goes on forever. If you can ever get out of the pool, its a short walk to the beach. The closest house I've seen so far in Manuel Antonio. A romantic path leads you down to whats considered a public beach. However, we had it to ourselves. We used the houses boogie boards and chairs on the beach and had a great time. The location was excellent. A bit of a steep short walk to the main road where you can catch the bus easily. Also Raphael Terrazzo is directly above with music and good food. Don't change a thing Peter, the place is lovely! Jason and the Gang!

The perfect family getaway!

5 of 5
Simply said, our family’s experience at Sandy Lane was heavenly: We’re architecture fanatics and we loved the open design that framed amazing ocean views It’s the very best beachfront location in the village (no rocks in front so the kids could swim safely in the ocean and we all loved jumping in the pool afterwards) The staff made everything easy for us (we heard about the fresh coconut milk from another review and Herman delivered!) Our concierge Christian directed us to all the great local restaurants (big fans of Koji sushi) and coordinated all of our activities (Horses were brought to the house within a half hour of our request!) All transportation was handled for us and it was absolutely seamless (we used their private charter service to fly to / from the beach). We booked Sandy Lane based on our love of design and beachfront privacy…the added warmth of the staff and the low-key vibe of Santa Teresa made our family vacation truly magical. Highly recommended for those seeking the very best.

Will be back!

5 of 5
The place is not in the village but close enough to walk into town. The local bus went by three or four times a day. It goes from Montezuma to Cabo Blanco National Park. So after shopping we caught it to come back with the groceries. You do not need a car at all. There also are plenty of taxis. The beach in front of the house is often deserted and has great spots to swim. It seemed very safe to us since there are rock formations to both sides of it. At two hundred meters there is a great surf spot popular with locals and foreigners. It is an easy left wave but only during high tide. For serious surfing we organized a ride to Mal Pais but the crowds over there were not our thing. We preferred the laid back feeling of Cabuya. There are two sea kayaks for rent at farm. We took them for a paddle from the house to the cemetery island where we saw plenty of fish while snorkeling and of course some strange graves. We also took a great day tour to Isla Tortuga from Montezuma where the snorkeling is even better. Coming back in the evening to cook and relax and listen to the waves made our stay unforgettable.
