Amazing Wedding Week!!!

5 of 5
This was a dream come true. I did a lot of research to have this destination wedding. What sold me on Casa Maravilla was the reviews. At first, we thought to get married on the North Shore of Hawaii. Taxes for the house I found were going to be nearly 14%. Then a friend mentioned she had spent her wedding anniversary in Manuel Antonio and said it was the most relaxing vacation she ever had. They also had a chef. So, I started looking for places that could accommodate our families comfortably since this is a remarriage for both of us. The chef included was a draw but the reviews really cemented my decision and boy! they were right! The most incredible part of this house is Ronald "the chef" and the maids that keep the place clean. We ate like kings and queens and all for an average of $28 a day per person. This included beer and wine. Granted we purchased hard liquor at duty free as Susan "the concierge" suggested but this was amazing to consider the way this group ate and drank. Our meals were all outdoors in the rancho which is a beautiful outdoor bar/kitchen overlooking the pool. It has a gorgeous sunset view and fans overhead to keep you comfortable. My new husband especially enjoyed these times with the family all seated at the table. The wedding meal consisted of lobster and potatoes presented like a 4-star restaurant. It was beautifully done and we felt relaxed and so lucky that we had chosen this venue for our wedding. We also celebrated 2 birthday dinners and Ronald and his helper Reynald went out of their way to please. Susan, the concierge, was so kind to help in the preplanning and answered every email in a quick fashion. She was absolutely delightful to work with before arriving and during our visit. She booked our excursions being especially sensitive to our needs and always advising in our best interest. She even drove my son to a pharmacy for treatment when he had a reaction to a bite on his foot. It is a special feeling to have good hospitality when traveling and they all try so very hard to make your stay an amazing one. We are all having withdrawals from our stay at Casa Maravilla. If you want to feel like the rich and famous for a few days in your life then stay here!!!!!

A gem

The house could not be more perfectly placed, being tucked back just a tad from the beach on a river that creates beautiful sculptures in the sand as it enters the ocean. The sunsets are an event. Relax by the pool as toucans fly by, squawking, making you feel like you're in a Sesame Street episode, the letter L in primary colors overhead. Walk the beach into town or catch a ridiculously cheap cab. The house was clean, secure, and fully equipped. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot, although there aren't scald guards on the faucets. Kitchen is fully equipped, and the owner and manager are receptive to suggestions. Grocery store is a fifteen minute walk if you want to cook. There is a resort with a good menu next door if you'd rather eat at a table right next to the beach. We apparently were the first renters here and we will definitely stay here again.
