Perfect Private Getaway

5 of 5
My friend recommended this place to me, saying it was well worth the cost because you basically stay in a downtown abbey treehouse. Though there wasn't any fun british drama, there were six people on staff to make sure our stay was impeccable. The pool was gorgeous. Because it's an infinity pool, there were literally NO bugs floating on the water. Hard to believe in the middle of a rain forest! The bathrooms are amazing. Clean, gorgeous, with good water pressure in the showers. This place was truly beautiful. And we were right on the water. A minute's walk to the beach, if that. Though it's technically a public beach, there were maybe one or two other people for about a mile's radius. In the far distance we could see beach umbrellas, but it was basically our own private slice of ocean. It was awesome because we could see no other houses from our deck, but at the same time if we wanted to go out to eat, we could get to several cute local restaurants just by walking! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone with the financial resources to pay for it. There are enough rooms that you could get a big group of friends to go and split the cost. That's what I want to do so that I can go again.

Beach Paradise

5 of 5
The Pinkhouse is a wonderful home with a warm and helpful care taking family. This place is truly a paradise. During our visit we cooked wonderful meals and ate inside around the beautiful table and of course pool side. We felt like we were at a private resort. The beach access is a gem, the hummocks are peaceful and the sunsets are amazing. We love the layout of the home, fans everywhere which are key and the landscaping is like no other! Clean, safe and private. Thank you for having boogie boards, sand toys, beach balls, soccer ball, and a football for the kids and Dad. The Pinkhouse is a special place! PURA VIDA!

Epic vacation!

5 of 5
We stayed at Beachwood for 9 heavenly nights. The home and the property it sits upon are a living piece of art. It's so simple and casual, yet very elegant. Beyond the morning walks on the beach and the occasional dinner out, we found that we never wanted to leave the property. The staff are extremely accommodating and kept the home and grounds immaculate. Our concierge gave great suggestions for restaurants and brought in a fantastic masseuse. Our chef, Rob Essa, delighted us with several incredible lunches and dinners, mostly fresh fish caught the same day. We enjoyed the wildlife and were greeted by a troupe of howler monkeys that were mostly unimpressed by us. Sleep isn't the same since we've been home. The sound of the ocean, the comfortable bed and the sweet-smelling air are all that's missing.
