The place to stay for surf staying on the beach

5 of 5
I stayed in S.Teresa for a month. I wanted to surf and this was the only place where I didn't have to walk across stones to get to the beach. The banana beach bar (accommodation is behind this bar) has a great vibe during the day, food is a little expensive which stops it from getting really busy at night, but drinks are ok so you do have the benefit of being able to sip a smoothy whilst watching the waves, something I really wanted to be able to do. I would come back here again…good vibes

great but.....

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: sancudos, mosquitos need extermination of alls bugs Manager responded on 12/9/2014: Thank you for your comments. Mosquitoes (zancudos in Costa Rican Spanish) are a common occurrence in all Costa Rica's coastlines and Jaco is not the exception. The transition time between rainy and dry seasons are intensified. All of our homes undergo fumigation and this house actually was just recently fumigated. However, it is almost impossible to fully control mosquitoes as they are not crawling insects. We recommend using bug spray whenever you are outdoors and especially at dusk. That is usually enough deterrent. Gabriel Rocha, Director, BEACHHOME Costa Rica Vacation Rentals.

Happiness

5 of 5
What an incredible experience. It felt that, for the first time in a long while, we had a chance to properly relax, switch off and enjoy the natural beauty that rural Costa Rica has to offer. We stayed at the Rancho for a duration for a month and a half and were excessively sad to leave when the time came to do so. Fritz and Aileen welcomed us like friends, as did Oscar, the property manager. The vibe was very chill and the wild life was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Couldn't have been happier with our experience. Thank you Fritz, Aileen and Oscar. Pura vida!
