A Magical Spring Break

5 of 5
Our group of 10, six adults + 4 kids from Texas had an amazing stay at Casa Atrevida! It was just as beautiful as the photos, and perfectly described on the web site. Vlad did a great job planning meals and activities for us each day. We don't normally do excursions, but this was the perfect vacation to give them a try. We toured primary rainforest at Cabo Matapalo, took a boat to see dolphins, snorkel, and visit the wildlife sanctuary, we zip-lined in Matapalo, kayaked the mangroves, and a few adults did a day trip to Corcovado. Everything was awesome! We saw every animal we wanted to and before our week was up, even had monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans and parrots around the house. Our children were thrilled with the two dogs and cats that lived on the property as well. One of the cats had kittens and they got to visit them each day! So sweet! I want to give our chef Kevin props for working so hard every day and feeding us delicious food! My daughter is Celiac, so he had a special challenge. Kevin was wonderful and when Vlad was ill he went out of his way to get us to our planned zip-lining tour. He even drove us all the way there, which was above and beyond! I'd recommend Casa Atrevida to anyone looking for a remote getaway in a wonderful part of Costa Rica! Getting to/from the Osa Peninsula was another highlight of our trip, flying on Nature Air! What a thrill! Muchos Gracias to Carlos, Vlad, Kevin and all the staff at Casa Atrevida! Pura Vida, Jamie & Ryan Allen Austin, TX

This is a bucket list item!

5 of 5
I researched tree houses because it has been my wife's childhood dream to live in a treehouse now completed in a grand style! I chose this because even though a 4 wheel drive is needed to access the property, once there it is an easy walk & the privacy is beyond private - only saw someone when I had a couple questions , otherwise one could live like Tarzan and Jane - which we did! It was awesome- just as the view of the jungle, monkeys, tropical birds & floria. Although living in the "open" canopy (no walls) may seem primitive, having electricity for a fridge, fans, wifi, hot running water makes this place seem like a paradise jungle canopy well work checking it off your bucket list even if it was never on ( but it should be) Also visit the coco farm which Blondie's help we had an awesome informative tour. We are in our 60's and enjoyed every second / wishing we could have spend more time and discovered this sooner when put children were still home as this is a must do experience.

Great experience

5 of 5
Had a wonderful time experiencing the tree house and the jungle around us. Took a little while for the kids to adjust to the nature around them. Mornings were the best-it was great waking up to all of the sounds of the jungle, having coffee with the macaws, toucans, monkeys, butterflies and various insects. An experience of a lifetime. Do keep in mind that this is the jungle. If you do not like bugs or wildlife you may need to make adjustments! The listing was accurate in description. Property was clean, well maintained, caregivers Anna and Humberto were lovely people. Owners Blondie and Mike were a wonderful resource while planning our trip before we arrived and planning activities once we had arrived at the treehouse. One of the highlights of our trip was our day hike in La Tarde with guide Mike Boston. The swim at the end of the day in the river was pretty terrific too! Loved the bar b que dinner buffet at Iguana lodge on Tuesday, Italian night on Friday. The beach in front of the Iguana lodge was our favorite for swimming and spending the afternoon in the sun. Pizzamailit had great food also!
