Perfect vacation villa for small family!

5 of 5
Casa Brisas was perfect for our family's getaway to sun, sand, surf in December. It has a minimalist, clean design inside and a spacious, relaxing terrace with pool outside - both of which we really enjoyed. The proximity to the beautiful and uncrowded Langosta beach is unbeatable and it is only a short ride into Tamarindo if more action is desired. Our 4-year old son loved alternating between the 'pools' at the beach (formed by retreating tides) and the pool at the house. We even saw a few howler monkeys and iguanas from the backyard. The owner (Andrea) and his caretaker (Alonso) did everything to make our experience memorable and relaxing - from flexibility with booking, to check-in, attention and quick resolution with the inevitable little things that can come-up (in our case one of the AC's wasn't working at full capacity and Alonso had it fixed in no time). Alonso was also very helpful with booking Spa services and short trips in the surrounding area (the owner owns a Spa and concierge service in town). If there was one small thing we could change, it would be the need to keep an extra watchful eye on one's energy consumption ... we applaud Andrea's intent to keep energy consumption low and help renters realize wasteful habits (like keeping the AC blasting all day while out). Unfortunately, we ended up having to pay a bit extra despite being very mindful. All in all though this did not diminish the fact that we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly at Casa Brisas and had a great time in Langosta!

Highly Recommended! Simply the Best Deal in CR! Pictures are great, reality was better!

5 of 5
Beautiful home. Stayed there with my family, wife and three kids 12, 10, and 7 for 6 days. My wife did not want to leave. top of the line. granite. gorgeous floors and bathrooms.. Pictures are great but reality is better. Bob the manager is a wonderful person and so valuable to the experience. He always answered email or phone calls promptly. He took me shopping our first day in his truck. He even gave me medical advice on my son's swimmer's ear! The story for us was the playa langosta lifestyle. we went in late august the "green" season. we had the place to ourselves. Wake up in very comfortable beds. taxi into town for surf lessons with Junior - who is terrific. back to the condo for lunch. eat poolside or in your private patio. swim in a gorgeous pool, then out to the beach for sand castles and boogie boarding. The beach is terrific, the kids played on the rocks tried to catch crabs. If you walk south there is a large sandy area with so many shells it is just incredible. We would see a few people, enough to feel like you were not alone but we had plenty of family space. Amazing sunsets. At night either grill poolside or have food brought in from town one of the many restaurants in Tamarindo. Then it was Movie night every night. The house came with so many DVD's we could have watched several movies a day but usually just one movie with popcorn on the 120 inch movie screen with a theatre sound system. Honestly the lifestyle here was so good I am not sure we will ever enjoy a vacation house as much as this one. If any thing came up Bob was there to help. A very safe and secure way to enjoy a truly remarkable rental. The home came with a couple of video game systems and a ton of games, my kids hardly played them because we were too busy doing other things. I took a video of the property and no one can believe how nice it is. We felt like we got a great deal! Really want to go again.

TOTALLY INCREDIBLE

5 of 5
This is a palace.!! We were blown away when we opened the door and walked in. As beautiful as the photos are, they don’t do this place justice. It is truly a house of “light” and a house of”views”. Whichever room you are in you can see the beautiful landscaping, the beach, the ocean waters and the incredible sunsets. The house is an architectural masterpiece of stone and glass. The master suite is amazing and has its own balcony with stunning views. All 5 bedrooms are large with king size beds, ensuite bathrooms and luxurious bedding’/linens. This wonderful home is located on a street that the locals call, “Millionaires’ Row”. Even though the home is palatial and it makes you feel like royalty, it is also very comfortable and relaxing. There is an ambiance of relaxation that permeates every room in the house. There are both covered and uncovered patio areas with very comfortable patio furniture. The infinity pool is gorgeous and is a perfect size for both playing and swimming laps. We really appreciated the flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, Viking appliances and huge kitchen. The full time staff is an added bonus. Iris, who does housekeeping, laundry, dishes, etc. on a daily basis is a sweetheart. She kept the place spotless. There are also full time groundskeepers who keep the grounds looking beautiful. I understand that you can also make arrangements for a chef, but we didn’t do that. There is also a nice office, if you “have to work”.I chose to not carry my cell phone or wear my watch while we were there. What a feeling of freedom! The ocean water was like bath water. Way different than our “blue-lips” experiences in So Calif and other places. The small town of Tamarindo has many good places to eat. We loved having pizza at La Baula (great setting and great pizza). The burgers at Longosta Beach Club are the best. There is a very nice (quite new) grocery store nearby called Auto Mercado where you can get anything you need. My wife was quick to notice several “boutique” shopping opportunities also. Tamarindo is an amazing area. I think it may be the best tourist area in Costa Rica. It has a small airport with daily flights to and from San Jose for about $89. This is much cheaper and faster than driving. In summary, our time at Villa Marrakech was wonderful in every way. The only downside I can think of is that we couldn’t stay longer.
