Great Place

5 of 5
My girlfriend and another couple stayed here for what was supposed to be 3 days but turned into 4. I originally booked a 1 bedroom but 1 day before our reservation emailed Dylan (The owner) and asked if he by chance had a 2 bedroom unit because another couple had decided to join us. He said no problem and that he would have it cleaned and ready for us. We arrived and were shown to the unit. It looked as if no one had stayed in it before. These units must have been built within a year or two. Tile floors, A/C in the living room and each bedroom, tile showers, granite countertops, new appliances and cookware, everything you need for a wonderful stay. The fact that Amigos (A MUST GO) and the supermarket are literally downstairs makes it even more relaxing and convenient. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, and little town with a great bar and surf shop is about a 10 minute drive. The surf breaks around Playa Junquillal were very good. It was fairly big for my talents (8-9 foot at times) and would close out later in the evening. The sandy bottom was very nice! I wouldn't recommend coming here without a vehicle if you want to venture out much, but if you want to stay in the complex, it has everything you need, except an ATM. The store has standard prices on everything, Amigos is a fantastic bar/restaurant, and the pool is lovely and well kept. Dylan is a pleasure to work with, and if we come back to Costa Rica, we will be staying here again.

Beautiful Modern Condo with Lots of Amenities

5 of 5
Tierra Pacifica is reasonably new and exactly as advertised. Updated and modern with air conditioning in every room, really comfortable beds, big showers, a dishwasher, washer and dryer and kitchen appliances (ie: microwave, blender, coffee maker, oven). Located in the property you have a beautiful pool right downstairs along with a market and restaurant named Amigos. The market has essentials and while I cooked one evening for my family we spent most of our time dining at Amigos because the food was delicious. Overall this condo is THE place to stay. It's beautiful and has everything you need. You can't do better than Tierra Pacifica. Travel Tip - While I was able to find most of what I needed at the downstairs market I was unable to find dishwasher soap. If you don't mind doing dishes by hand then ignore but if you want to utilize the dishwasher bring some soap with you.

Great place. We'll return.

5 of 5
I spent a week at Las Ventanas with my wife and son in January of 2012. We had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. The atmosphere was relaxing with beautiful grounds and a saltwater pool that my son used almost every day. Rosa, the manager, was very accommodating. She made us feel right at home and was a great source of local information and ideas for day trips. There is plenty of privacy, but we also go to know some of our neighbors for the week which added to the experience. For such a small place, there was a real sense of community. The condos are a short walk to beautiful junquillal beach, which we often had to ourselves. If you plan to do some exploring of the region, I would recommend a 4WD vehicle as some of the roads are unpaved and unimproved. This place is a jewel and a great alternative to the resort-style accommodation. Can't say enough nice things about las ventanas and this part of guanacaste. At the end of our stay we all agreed that one week was not enough.
