Fabulous Stay!!!!

5 of 5
I would like to thank Dirk, the owner, for sharing his beautiful home with me and 4 of my closest friends, The purpose of our visit was to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were looking for a home that would accommodate 6 people comfortably, a private pool, and close to the beach. This lovely home provided us with all that we were desiring. It was nice waking up and having our coffee by the pool and listening to singing birds, sounds of monkeys, and having beautiful view of cliffs and the beach from afar. A ten minute stroll to the beach to have coffee was a nice treat as well. The property was very clean and provided a washer and dryer, grill, fully furnished kitchen and a lock box for security. It also had 3 bedrooms and to full bathrooms. Gus was there awaiting at the gate upon our arrival to lead us up to the house. He was more than happy to provide us with any information about the house and any tour we were interested in. There are many brochures in the house that can help assemble tours you might be interested in. I recommend renting a car so you can go explore other beaches and to go into town. I also recommend renting Dirks property if you are wanting more privacy, yet the ability to get in the mix of things.

Thank you for our WOW trip

5 of 5
Words cannot describe the beauty of the view we woke to each morning, nor the sunset we experienced each evening. Breathtaking. The home is absolutely gorgeous, with amenities that exceed a vacation home; let alone the beautiful murals at the pool house and on the ceilings throughout. Pictures do not do justice. Family and friends who joined us were in awe of the home, the friendliness of the citizens, and the splendor of the sights. The food here is fabulous, we ate so well and everything was so fresh. But to enjoy the experience of cooking in this gorgeous kitchen or to have cooks come in to prepare wonderful meals is highly suggested, as well. Sport Fishing, Zip line, waterfalls are a bonus, and we would highly recommend the private catamaran which takes you out for snorkeling, as well as booking (in advance) dinner at Mario’s Cuisine - WOW. Everything we did, everything we saw, everything we experienced was fabulous. BUT THEN, to sit on the balconies or by the pool and take in the scenery view is the epitome of truly relaxing! THANK YOU for sharing your home!

Awesome Family Vacation!!

5 of 5
My family and I recently spent a week in this wonderful home. The description of the home is accurate and the owners were wonderful to work with. They gave us plenty of information about the home and area prior to our arrival. The property manager also met us in town and we followed him to the house where he gave us a folder of info regarding things to do and place to go. We have two children (ages 9 and 11) who loved the pool area. The town of Playa Hermosa is wonderfully small, all the locals are so friendly. Every morning I walked from the house to the beach and back, the little hill will work off any excess calories you consume while on your trip! The locals and expats that I met along my walk were very friendly. Car rental is a must. We went to several local restaurants and excursions, I will try to list and tell a little about them for those who are interested. Father Rooster's has the best Nachos and Margarita's, The Black beach there is cool, but remember your water shoes, sand is hot! Donde Johan's food was okay, could have been what we ordered, (pizza) atmosphere, staff and owner were all very nice, I would go back just for that reason. We went sailing with Ferit, wonderful day, couldn't ask for a better trip, very accommodating. (Daryl the property manager can give you his number) Had dinner on the beach at Roberto's, had great Shrimp, and drink specials. Also had dinner out last night at Ginger's our only regret is that we didn't go here earlier in the week so we could have gone there twice!! It is a tapas restaurant, so don't expect large portions but my husband and I ordered 5 different items between the two of us and ended up bringing home left overs. Went to Palo Verde National Park, Luis was our tour guide, very nice guy, tour was nice unfortunately we only saw the monkeys from afar. Bring some bananas with you if you do this tour...especially if you want to see monkeys close up. Lunch at a small local town on this tour was very authentic, worth the little extra $. After the tour they take you to watch a local make pottery..it is beautiful. I purchased a very large bowl at a expensive price, my fault for not trying to negotiate but after you sit there and watch a guy make one on a wheel and tell you how long it takes to make I had a hard time haggling now knowing what I know I would have. continued....
