fun in the sun~

5 of 5
I wanted to say this house exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very roomy and clean. My husband and I traveled with a 2, 10, 12 and a 74 year old and everyone was happy! The pool was perfect! We sat in the pool each morning as gorgeous red macaws flew over the pool. In the background the sound of waves crashing on the black sand beach added to our wonderful experience. Sunsets were also so magical! Working with the owners was easy and helpful. We used Zuma Rental (as suggested) and was treated to a ride too and from the airport. I would strongly suggest getting a car for a large group of people. The roads were never a problem (with the help of GPS). I would defiantly recommend this property to anyone wanting a wonderful home close to the beach with all the amenities of home. Costa Rica has something for everyone-gorgeous beaches, rainforest, volcanoes, zip lines, snorkeling, surfing and tons of animal adventures! **Pura Vida**

Quiet and peaceful!

5 of 5
The small complex of 4 units is Mediterranean rustic style in a very quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful homes and apartments. We stayed in the bedroom on the left coming into the apartment and the bed was very comfortable. The living room had a sofa and love seat that were very comfortable and practical. The wood coffee table is hand made and beautiful. If it would have fit in my suitcase Kelie would be minus a table, just kidding Kelie. The stools at the breakfast bar were also hand made. The pool was great, not to hot or cold. The whole apartment was spotless and very well maintained. The picture does not do the place justice. Kelie was so easy to work with from my initial contact to check out. Listen to her recommendations, they are spot on. We did go to Side Street Bistro when we left, it was great! Thank you Kelie wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice villa, as advertised! 4 stars!!

4 of 5
My girlfriend and I rent this villa for one week. It was perfect and exactly as you can see on the pictures. The villa is part of a small gated and secure residential area. The house is vast and well maintained. Each big private room has A/C and ceiling fan. The pool is a must with the hot weather of Costa Rica. Kelie (the manager) is super friendly and really helpful. Her suggestions are all "musts" in the area. Don't miss the small and typical local restaurant Los Amendros in Esterillos Oeste, the RainMaker mountain near Parrita and the romantic bar or restaurant in Villa Caletas hotel (amazing sunset view!). On the property you have mangos, you can see hummingbirds every day and Aras flying over the villa going in the mountain at the end of the day. In the area (car is highly recommended and don't rent smaller than a Toyota Rav-4!) you can find everything you need within 10-15 minutes (grocery, local shops, markets in Jaco), beaches, surf lessons, Zip lines, hiking, etc. Beaches: Esterillos has big strong waves and incredibely strong rip current (for advance swimmers and surfers), Playa Hermosa is similar and Playa Jaco has both (strong waves on the right and good waves for beginners on the left of the beach near Costa Del Mar hotel). If you are adventurous, you can find nice hiking trails in the area (ask Kelie) and you can do mountain bike on mountain roads. As described by others, the house as one close neighbour (mostly absent) and the small road is near the pool but it is not bad at all. The BBQ is practical but miss some useful tools (lighter, good brush) and it would be interesting to have candles/candles holder for outside at night and not use electricity! We definitely recommend the villa and maybe even go back with the kids ! Pura Vida! and enjoy your stay in Costa Rica!
