                Great Vacation House

                5 of 5
I am a little reluctant to give the stellar review Playa de Flamingo deserves because I want to keep it all to myself, but I really can't be that selfish. Everything about this experience was top notch. Just steps away from warm, crystal clear pacific waters, the house itself is truly stunning and well appointed. If the ocean is not always your thing, cool off in the private pool and then warm up in the hot tub! We traveled with four adults and four children, and there was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably. The house was kept at a perfect temperature, and the on-site staff was amazing. The gate guard was always available to answer any of our questions, and the housekeeper ensured that we didn't have to be responsible for any of the upkeep. Even when we planned to do our own dishes or wash our own towels, she always beat us to it. Kenny was fantastic. He hooked us up with a tour company that not only got us to and from the Liberia airport, but also helped us arrange the incomparable Palo Verde river cruise, zip lining and surf lessons at Tamarindo. In addition, he stocked our fridge and pantry before we arrived and introduced us to Adrian, who was our chef for the week. Adrian was incredible. We gave him basic ideas of what we liked and didn't like, and asked him to prepare fresh, local seafood and produce as much as possible. He went above and beyond! We ate like kings and queens all week. With four young children, we expected someone to complain about something...that's what kids usually do, after all! But that was not the case. Every one of our party had a fabulous time. The only negative about the entire trip was that we had to leave!

                Paradise Found!

                5 of 5
Casita Luna has it all...killer view of ocean and Flamingo beach, convenient steps leading down to the beach from the pool area, and beautiful grounds. This 2 bedroom casita was spacious with an open kitchen, living Ron and dining area that looks out through the wall of sliding galas doors to the fantastic view...and adjacent to the fully equipped tiki bar, where would liked to eat our lunches, and enjoy and afternoon cocktail. Our favorite spot was the sparkling infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and the sunsets from the pool were the greatest. Owner Fred was so helpful making sure all our needs were met, even turning on music for us around the pool area. Can't wait to return to the bit of Paradise.

Beautiful, exceptionally private and quiet (although not necessarily for small children)

                5 of 5
My husband, four children ages 12, 10, 8 and 6 and I recently stayed at Sunset Villa for a week. The property is very well kept, exceptionally private and quiet. The views and the outside areas are just like in the photos - stunning. The master bedroom casita and the main house are gorgeous, have spectacular views from wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows that open up all the way to let the ocean breezes in. There is housekeeper who came every day for several hours (except Sundays). She is very sweet and friendly, and could not do enough to be nice and accommodating. We never had any shortage of clean towels and linens. The kitchen is well equipped with everything one could need. The location is excellent - top of the hill at the north end of Playa Flamingo. I noticed that this seemed to be one of the most private and secluded villas on this stretch. The villa was also very secure, with alarm systems and motion detectors everywhere. There are steep steps down to the beach, which could be difficult for some people. We did not mind them. The villa is also not one villa - but 5 different buildings. As we had read in other reviews and the owner had warned us, these casitas are separate self contained structures. This means that each bedroom is in a separate building, which posed a slight problem for us - a family with 4 young children none of whom could sleep in a separate building. We ended up using only two bedrooms, one in the main building and one in the master bedroom building, having one adult sleep in each building and parking a child to sleep on the very comfortable couch in the tv room in the main house. Complicated for sure! However, we still enjoyed our stay very much. The different buildings would be perfect for a family with teenagers or couples. There is lots and lots of space. The master bedroom casita and the main house are, however, the jewels.
