Gorgeous Resort and Beautiful Beach!

5 of 5
We vacationed with our family here for spring break this year and it was absolutely fantastic! Flamingo Beach has beautiful soft sand and amazing sunsets! The resort is wonderful because it is peaceful, serene and not crowded at all. In fact, it feels almost like your own private beach! You can walk from the condo to the beach in less than 30 seconds, which is wonderful (and convenient) for families with children. The water temperature is perfect and my 12 year old children had a blast playing in the water. I highly recommend having the chef (Justin) at the resort make a private dinner for your family. His food is delicious (and reasonably priced)! He made dinner for us on two different nights and both meals were excellent. After a long day of excursions or activities, it was so nice to have dinner prepared for us. The lunch options at the resort are also very good. Our favorite restaurant off property was Pangas (in the town of Tamarindo- about 20-25 min away). This is an outdoor restaurant that is just breathtaking when you walk in---the views and the setting are stunning. An experience unlike any other place we had ever been. Our family did a number of different excursions around Costa Rica, which were all wonderful experiences. We loved the Canon De La Vieja Adventure, which included ziplining, white water rafting, hot springs, sauna, and mud bath. We also really enjoyed the Palo Verde National Park river boat tour. There are so many choices for activities, and Alexandra (concierge) was very instrumental in helping us find the perfect activities! We have vacationed to many different places and this is absolutely our new favorite place! Costa Ricans are so friendly and the country is a very safe place to visit. Every day in Costa Rica was pure paradise and I would recommend it to everyone!

Amazing Vacation at Casa Playa Bonita!!

5 of 5
My family of 4 travels really well with 3 other families/amazing friends of ours. This was our 2nd annual Spring Break shared Vacation. There is no way I will be able to say enough about what an incredible time we all had at Casa Playa Bonita. Where do I start? Lisa is so prompt and pleasant and made planning our trip a breeze. She and Yoko answered all of our questions immediately. Yoko will book your transportation and any day trips, she will make reservations for dinner, she is available to answer any questions at any time before and during your stay. When I called, she picked up. We were taken care of. Herman and Blanca were a dynamic duo for sure. Blanca is one stealth woman! She was like a ghost. We bought tons of fruit and she would cut it for us every morning and set it out without anyone seeing her. Any time we would try and wash a glass or dish she would stop us. She cleaned our rooms every day and I swear I rarely ever saw her! Herman and Blanca have perma-grins and they are wonderful human beings. Make sure you arrange at least one dinner cooked for you. They made us the BEST Tuna we've ever had. Even the non seafood eaters tried it and loved it! Casa Playa Bonita is a perfectly designed home. 4 families, 14 people and there was plenty of privacy when needed. Best location, gorgeous sunsets, steps to the beach, a quick walk to Coco Loco's. It's like you have your own private resort. Coffee every morning looking out at the ocean, listening to birds and watching dragonflies buzz by was so incredibly relaxing. We rented sea-do's down the beach, kayaked and paddle AND boogie boarded right in front of the house. Fish would swim between our legs and the kids saw a sting ray. There were no vendors bugging you on the beach, it's super mellow and GORGEOUS. White sand and clear water. Yoko set us up with a 4 wheel/canopy tour and everyone had a great time. So much so that the kids decided to go on a 4 wheeling guided tour later in the week to ride again. We swam in the pool for hours and took advantage of the kiddie pool to float because we have no little ones. I want to be floating right now! Read the house book that Lisa will provide front to back. Everything you need is in there. We cooked in the amazing kitchen, went to Angelina's for dinner (tried octopus and LOVED) and there were daily walks to Coco Loco's for a coco loco served in a coconut. YES! I want to write more and I'm being cut off so....JUST GO. We can't wait to return. Pura Vida!!

Everything we imagined - and more!

5 of 5
When we travel, we like to have some independence from the craze of the large beach resorts and all-inclusives. Privacy, calm and autonomy is just what we wanted in our Costa Rica vacation and Casa Las Brisas delivered all of that, but with the added hotel-like conveniences of high-end local recommendations for restaurants, activities and tours. The home is beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked - my husband is quite the cook and we wanted for nothing as he whipped up our meals! - and we felt completely safe the entire time. Although we had no reason to question the safety of the area, the home's security system and safes in the bedrooms gave us the added level of assurance you want when you're in a foreign country and away from your own home. The layout of the home is ideal for larger groups with its two large master bedrooms - one with a separate entrance for added privacy - and two other spacious bedrooms, but it is comfortable enough for a couple or a small group. The open floor plan of the main living area means almost every inch of the house boasts a stunning ocean view - just what you want when you're at the beach! And I can't tell you how much fun we had using the second floor porch! The view from that vantage point is spectacular - no better place to watch the sun set while sipping a fresh fruit cocktail :) We rented a car and used it to get to and from some destination beaches and activities, but there are so many restaurants, shops, beaches and activities right in Flamingo that we walked almost everywhere. Strolling on the beach was a great start - or end - to each day, but when we wanted to take a more strenuous hike, there are a number of more challenging walks through the tropical hills of Flamingo that the owners had written out for tenants. We saw howler monkeys, exotic birds and huge iguanas on our walks - so cool! Right down on Flamingo Beach, our group surfed, paddle boarded, got massages, kayaked, and snorkled. But unlike some other beaches nearby, there were no obnoxious merchants interrupting us every 10 minutes. The owners had an extensive book filled with menus, tour pamphlets, restaurant recommendations, and other helpful phone numbers and resources, which made our trip more enjoyable. We loved all of their recommendations and can't wait to return to try out everything we didn't have time for! I would absolutely recommend this home to our friends and family. You will love it!
