Home-away-from-home!

5 of 5
I stayed at the Stef Surf with my husband and adult children for two weeks. We all loved every minute of out stay. The property and townhome are just as described, very clean, well-maintained, and quite delightful. A tropical oasis in the dry area of Costa Rica. The on-site couple who provide services are helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Stef Surf to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, laid-back holiday. The area is perfect for casual dining on really good food. Loved LaPerla, The Shack, Casa Celeste, El Castillo, and Coco Loco in Flamingo. And gelatto on a hot day at the Italian Village. We enjoyed all our excursions (2 people in our sixries, one mid-forties and two 30s). First-time ziplining and ATVing at the Congo Trail; river cruising, and meeting wild white-faced monkeys with Jaime; snorkeling and cruising with Penache. Lazy days were enjoyed at area beaches, and beach pubs. We will be back!

Absolutely Amazing!

5 of 5
Such a stunning home! I was visiting Costa Rica with my cousins and friends and we were a large group looking for an exclusive and luxurious vacation spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches. This home was PERFECT! From the moment we stepped inside, we were beyond excited to call this our home for a few days. The villa is huge and is even more amazing in person. It was so relaxing to have our very own pool and hot tub, right in front of the beach! Playa Flamingo is also a very quiet, and non-crowded beach, so it felt like we had endless space to ourselves and lots of privacy. This home is also located in a small gated community with security guards at the entrance, making it extremely safe. The villa contact was very accommodating and helpful through the whole booking process. They were always very prompt in their responses, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the home was perfect. They also arranged for us to have our own private chef who cooked delicious meals for us throughout the day. Overall I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful!

5 of 5
Our family stayed here the week leading up to and including Christmas, and it was one of the loveliest holidays we've had. The pictures don't fully do the house justice. They can't quite capture the intense green of the vegetation or the incredible views all around. We watched the sun rise from one side of the porch each morning, listening to the deep rumble of howler monkeys nearby and watching flocks of birds pass at eye level; and we could catch the sunset each evening from the main section of the porch. The pool is lovely and warm. The house is very comfortable, very well-maintained and well designed for privacy. It comes with ample security--both a small safe in a bedroom and an extensive alarm system. We did have Internet access by simply using a passcode, despite what other reviewers have said. We had breakfast and cooked dinner each day, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We were also grateful to have a washer and dryer in the basement. The gardener, Danielo, is an artist--the gardens around the house are truly exquisite, and he came each day to tend to the plants and to the pool. He and the housekeeper were both lovely people. The one thing I would warn visitors of ahead of time: The house is up a very, very steep, rutted dirt road. We were grateful to have rented an SUV.
