First time to Costa Rica! 2 Couples

5 of 5
WOW! We couldn't imagine a better place to stay near the Guanacaste beaches of Costa Rica. The all inclusive resorts are very nice, but also very expensive! This was much more cost effective this time of year. Even though it is a private house, we still had access to all of the restaurants and amenities at the Westin. We used the restaurant for breakfast and lunch about half the time. The rest of the time we used the kitchen in the villa, which was modern and upscale and included an induction range and a vita mixer! For food, we went to the saturday farmers market in Tamarindo and stopped at road side stands for fruits. The house was perfect for multiple couples. We had a common kitchen and living room, but because the bedrooms are actually separate structures, it made it feel like we were in our own private hotel rooms. It was also just as clean as any hotel room and was very easy to keep that way thanks to the well thought out finishes. We found ourselves spending a lot of time in and around the pool at the villa, which is basically a whole home water feature that you can get in. Ever wanted to hop in and play in the fancy fountain as a kid?? ... You can do that at this house! There is a large portion that is big enough for lap swimming, and the rest is just deep enough to stick your feet in, or walk thru, or even just sit down in and stay cool in the hot afternoons. I had a day of not feeling so great, and being "stuck" at the house was not a bummer. I was able to lie in the sun by the beautiful pool in total privacy, and was still able to enjoy myself even though I was sick. There is a third bedroom that my husband setup as his office since this was a working vacation for him. There is an apple screen waiting there for you to plug in to, which was perfect. we did some long drive exploring around guanacaste and to San jose, and it was nice to come back to a house rather than have to go walking through a hotel! We all truly enjoyed ourselves here!

Phenomenal Villa for anyone!!

5 of 5
My husband and I recently visited Costa Rica and stayed at this BEAUTIFUL villa. We have never stayed in anything this nice before, not even on our honeymoon. The villa is very spacious, yet the layout is perfect and has that "homey" feel to it. Our favorite part about the villa was the infinity pool. It was so nice to have our private pool when we didn't feel like going to the public one or the beach. The Villa has surround sound speakers so you can plug in a phone and play music throughout the house which is awesome. The beds were extremely comfortable because they had memory foam mattresses (at least the master bedroom did). We loved having a kitchen so we could cook meals on days that we didn't feel like dining out. The property is extremely clean and there is a cleaning lady that comes every other day. The concierge (property managers) were very helpful, they helped book our tours and get us taxis when we went into town. We chose the sunset cruise and the water rafting tours which both exceeded our expectations. The property is located in a gated community which is on the same grounds as the Westin hotel, so you have access to the beach, pools and restaurants. There is a free shuttle that can take you to the beach or you can enjoy a nice 2 mile walk down to these amenities. The location is perfect, close to other beaches such as playa avellanas and playa grande which are great for surfing and it is about 15 minutes from Tamarindo which has shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Just past flamingo beach there is a place called Las Catalinas which is a beautiful outdoor restaurant with swings, hammocks, couches, lawn chairs, corn hole and they serve great cocktails and food. Another place we enjoyed for lunch was Lolas, which was located on playa avellanas. I enjoyed a few beers and read my book in a hammock while watching my husband surf. So relaxing! I would recommend this property to anyone! My husband and I enjoyed our alone time and having this place to ourselves, however we both agreed that it would have been great to have a few other couples with us b/c it was spacious enough for a big group. We hope to get the chance to come back to this beautiful villa again!
