An anniversary celebration of the ages!!

4 of 5
Vista Oceana was an absolutely wonderful venue for the family to assemble in celebration of our 50th weeding anniversary. Unfortunately for us, one of our sons and his spouse were unable to come do to the expected arrival of their first child in January 2015, It's a Girl!, a circumstance that was not foreseen when we made our reservations in 2013. And if they had joined us the house would not have been able to comfortably accommodate all 15 of us. But for 13, it was almost perfect. The setting was marvelous with spectacular sunsets almost every night. The bird life and the monkeys provided experiences that will live on in our memories for years to come. And the location of the infinity pool assured frequent, and much appreciated use. Practically all present engaged in multiple activities and reported high levels of satisfaction with all arrangements. The sunset cruise on a private sailboat was a wonderful and unexpected touch as was the dinner prepared by a chef in the home on Christmas eve. We did experience a brief power outage and the water was unavailable for about 12 hours. But I guess those kind of unanticipated events are not all that uncommon in Manuel Antonio. Other than the Christmas Eve meal, we ate several memorable dinners at first class local restaurants. It is doubtful that we shall ever try to revisit the area for any similar event again, the logistics for a large family with a wide variety of ages and involvements (schools, jobs, etc.) being what they are, but in no way does this indicate the least disappointment with the experience on this most memorable occasion. Thankfully, Dennis Hunter

Fantastic Views

5 of 5
The minute you walk in this condo you will be amazed at the view. The condo is extremely clean an well furnished. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels. The owner has even provided snorkeling equipment. The kitchen had everything and even had a dishwasher. The patio is a great overlook to the jungle below. The property managers can assist with booking any tours or transportation. We highly recommend the zip line tour through Mid World. The only problem we encountered during our stay during the holiday week was that there seemed to be a problem with the water pressure at the condos. Most days were manageable but on our last night there was no water for several hours and again the following morning. We were told that the hotel and the condos share a water system and that the hotel had first priority. This problem occurs during peak tourism times like Christmas time. Otherwise everything was wonderful about the condo and we still give it five stars.

New Year in Manuel Antonio

5 of 5
Hi Oliver! We did enjoy our vacation very much. We appreciated Natalia arranging our rafting trip with Rafiki and the zip line tour with El Santurio Canopy. The guides on both of them were all really nice and made the tours a lot of fun! We spent a day at the National Park and Hans and the boys went deep sea fishing which was awesome – 3 sail fish and 2 mahi’s! We also appreciated Tamara coming in to clean and do laundry. The views from the villa were beautiful! We enjoyed using the pool which was a must since the afternoons were so hot. We spent most of our time at the villa on the back balcony. It was fun seeing the monkeys in the trees right up by the house early in the morning and also the iguana we which we saw pretty regularly. I survived the scorpion sting. It hurt for about 6 hours and then was fine. Fortunately for me, scorpion’s in Costa Rica are not poisonous and I did not have an allergic reaction to it.
