Wonderful Stay at Casa Bosque Verde

4 of 5
Casa Bosque Verde provided us with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in Manuel Antonio. It is close to everything, including the Super Joseth market, restaurants, bars, etc. We were able to catch the bus for 315 colones (roughly US $.75 per person) to other place a bit further away (playa Escondido, el avion, salsipuedes, etc.). The buses are very safe and friendly, and pick up is in front of Sanchos to the right at the main road. the gatekeeper, Antonio, and maid, Lucy, were two of the nicest people you will ever meet! We cannot say enough about them. Only one hiccup during the trip. We were told by Alex at the rental management firm that it would be $20 roundtrip from the Quepos airport to the Villa by van to accommodate our party of 5. Upon return, we did not get a van, but rather 2 red taxis, which charged us $16 per cab. This was unexpected and never confirmed with us prior to departure. He is also not very quick to respond to inquiries during the stay. Other than that, everything was simply Pura Vida!

Dream come true!

5 of 5
I found Casa Maravilla last fall and knew it was the perfect property for our traveling group of 10. Don and Sabrina answered all of my questions in a timely fashion and followed through with every request. Needless to say it was a house in paradise, along with an amazing staff. Highly recommend!!!

You Will Not Find Anywhere Better Than This!

5 of 5
"Wow!" is the first word we exclaimed when we arrived at this gorgeous property. "Perfect" and "Paradise" are two other words that came to mind. You will not find a better location in CR, I'm positive of it. Ken and Kim were fantastic hosts, House Manager Jose took excellent care of our every whim, and the cleaning staff kept the place spotless. The viewing deck is the only place you need to be the whole trip, because you don't want to miss seeing any of the wildlife or hearing the ocean. The splash pool was shaded, cool and beautiful. We only used the ping pong and pool tables once but what a great way to enjoy happy hour! This perfect, private sanctuary has everything you could dream of for a life-changing vacation experience. If you need to supplement your experience, Kim offered a fantastic sunset horseback ride for my daughter that she thoroughly enjoyed, and Ken set up a zipline for our whole family that was top notch - best and safest I've ever done anywhere. And as everyone else has posted, take Jose's Mangrove tour for sure! The beach is semi-private, and it is a hike to get down there, but just take some drinks and snacks and LOTS of sunscreen during low tide and enjoy the day down there. (then just have a nap after you survive the hike back up! it's not really dangerous, just tiring in the heat). Tips: Bring a book - there's nothing better than listening to the jungle and reading in a hammock. If you have a large family, bring games for the evening. You won't want to be watching TV, trust me! Get your coffee at Café Milagro right at the top of the hill - they have the best. We also thoroughly enjoyed a dinner there. Buy bananas/fruit - you'll want snacks for "jungle visitors" Bring several good cameras - trust me, everyone will be grabbing for a camera when the animals come out to play! Have Jose find you some fish - he has friends who can provide you with anything fresher than the grocery store will have. Also the ceviche is a great snack, as him about it. Pura Vida!!!
