Excellent. Perfect for our group of 8.

5 of 5
Wow. What a great way to begin our 10 days in Costa Rica. Thanks to Dorit for always replying in a timely manner to the many questions which I had for our groups stay. Being that it was our first time in Costa Rica, and that I'm a travel agent, I did have many questions. Excellent service Dorit. Thank You. The transportation you arranged for us from the SJO airport was excellent. Our driver stopped twice - once so we could eat (took us to a neat soda place) and again at the grocery store before dropping us off at the villa. Wow. The villa was much nicer and bigger than the photos show. It was perfectly located in the woods (up the steep hill) (not unusual for CR) yet only a 10 minute walk to downtown Quepos area. The bathrooms and bedrooms are huge, all rooms are quite large. The deck lower & upper was enjoyed by all. The hammock was a + as well. It was very clean and we had no issue with bugs (as others said they did). The pool was cleaned daily and kept at a nice temperature (approx. 75 degrees) which was nice after shopping and walking downtown for a few hours in the humid heat. Cool for our morning dip but it was very refreshing. The views around the villa are outstanding. We had monkeys, sloths and iguanas visit us at the villa as well as saw the Tucans at the office window. They don't even look real they are that beautiful. Our stay at the villa was enjoyed by our entire group. The teenagers loved....loved it. Thanks again for everything. Will be back for sure and will recommend to clients wanting to go to CR. Thanks to Emilie as well for welcoming us to the villa our first morning there. We had lots of questions for her as well and her recommendations were excellent and appreciated. I have photos but not sure on how to post them on this site. I will do so on trip advisor.

An anniversary celebration of the ages!!

4 of 5
Vista Oceana was an absolutely wonderful venue for the family to assemble in celebration of our 50th weeding anniversary. Unfortunately for us, one of our sons and his spouse were unable to come do to the expected arrival of their first child in January 2015, It's a Girl!, a circumstance that was not foreseen when we made our reservations in 2013. And if they had joined us the house would not have been able to comfortably accommodate all 15 of us. But for 13, it was almost perfect. The setting was marvelous with spectacular sunsets almost every night. The bird life and the monkeys provided experiences that will live on in our memories for years to come. And the location of the infinity pool assured frequent, and much appreciated use. Practically all present engaged in multiple activities and reported high levels of satisfaction with all arrangements. The sunset cruise on a private sailboat was a wonderful and unexpected touch as was the dinner prepared by a chef in the home on Christmas eve. We did experience a brief power outage and the water was unavailable for about 12 hours. But I guess those kind of unanticipated events are not all that uncommon in Manuel Antonio. Other than the Christmas Eve meal, we ate several memorable dinners at first class local restaurants. It is doubtful that we shall ever try to revisit the area for any similar event again, the logistics for a large family with a wide variety of ages and involvements (schools, jobs, etc.) being what they are, but in no way does this indicate the least disappointment with the experience on this most memorable occasion. Thankfully, Dennis Hunter

Outstanding Residence for our Large Extended Famil

5 of 5
We just returned home from Villa Celaje a few days ago and can’t wait to return. We have spent a year planning this vacation with extended family. There were seventeen in our group and the house was all that we could have imagined and more. The pictures of the house that you see when planning your trip are accurate, however pictures do not do the house or the views justice…Villa Celaje is an outstanding residence! All seventeen of us fit comfortably in the house. There was so much common area that we never felt as though we were cramped. Each evening we gathered on the deck and in the pool to watch the sunset and each one got better and better. We were at the house on New Year’s Eve and it was quite a treat watching the many firework displays from the towns/resorts below. While the house was really magnificent, what really made our trip were the incredible were the people we met at the house. Tatiana came in every morning with a smile to do the housekeeping – she was so thorough and friendly – it felt like we were staying in a hotel. Prior to the trip we had signed up for chef service for two of our dinners, after the first dinner we asked if they could come back for a third. Michael and William were excellent! Each dinner we had was absolutely delicious and it made it much easier for our group of seventeen to dine together rather than go out. Michael did a wonderful job in the kitchen and William was outstanding with service…meeting them was a highlight of our trip!! Finally, I had the pleasure of working with Johan to coordinate all the details of our trip. We stayed during the holiday week and because of the large amount of visitors to the area most aspects of our trip had to be booked prior to our arrival. Johan handled everything from transportation to/from San Jose, groceries for the house upon arrival, car rental, excursion reservations, restaurant reservations and the private chefs. Coordinating a trip for seventeen people ranging in ages from 22-70 was quite daunting, but having Johan’s help made the trip seamless! There was not one glitch or issue that came up during our time there. Johan was extremely responsive in the planning process and every one of our excursions that he booked was perfect. Our group did whitewater rafting, surf lessons, zip-lining and a sunset sail. We can't wait to return!!
