VP made for my dream vacation and wedding!

5 of 5
Let me start off by saying that while the house is fabulous(it took our breath away when we first walked in during sunset), the staff was even more impressive. From the moment I inquired about the house, the staff were willing to answer all of my questions and settle any doubts. The team greatly assisted me as I planned my wedding from abroad. I had a once in a lifetime trip that my family and friends could not stop talking about. VP is like the perfect blend of jungle mansion that includes comforting amenities and also the feel, aesthetics and experiences of an authentic Costa Rican rainforest villa. My family was delighted with all of the encounters with nature. They especially loved the monkeys which came right up to the house, but never ventured too close for comfort either. Sabrina and the rest of the staff made it an easy and perfect choice to host my wedding reception at the house as well. On the day of my wedding, the gardener picked fresh banana palms and flowers for us to decorate with. Chef Carlos floored us with his buffet style dinner, and tasty appetizers and the concierges, Sabrina and Geralyn, offered last minute assistance with anything we might need. My family treasured all of the perfect sunsets from the house. Every night ended in the pool and it was so refreshing even after visits to the beach. Sabrina and Geralyn also ensured that all of my family's needs were met. We had several children stay at the house comfortably including a 2 year old, 3 year old, infant, 10 year old and 13 year old. Sabrina also worked her magic to retrieve a blow up mattress, 2 pack and plays, and a high chair to meet our needs. The house was cleaned everyday and the maids graciously spent extra time on our laundry. This house is located just a small and easy bus/cab ride to the beach. The house was also walking distance to several great restaurants such as Kapi Kapi. I had my rehearsal dinner there and we were so impressed! I would hands down recommend this villa to everyone visiting Manuel Antonio.

Two Weeks in The Villa Tucan

5 of 5
After deciding that Costa Rica would be the perfect getaway from a unrelenting, bitterly cold New York winter, I next set out to find the ideal spot to spend two relaxing weeks. Perusing the internet, I found there were several wonderful choices. Being that it was our first visit to Costa Rica, I was not quite sure where the best spot was to stay- near Quepos, or closer to Manuel Antonio National Park. Unbeknownst to me, the property I selected, taking into consideration the style of the home, the privacy of the rainforest, and the affordable price, was perfect. The Villa Tucan, located right in between the park and the quaint town, is the perfect blend of Mediterranean charm and tropical luxury. Well maintained, this villa was clean, comfortable, and was supplied with all the accoutrements to make the "non-hotel" stay effortless. From the comfortable beds to the tasteful décor, including the delivery of fresh tropical bouquets for both the top and the bottom floor-all our vacation needs were wonderfully met and even exceeded. Best of all assets on this little slice of paradise, however, was the property's charming and knowledgeable concierge, Elias Chinchilla. He not only waited to personally greet us upon our rather late arrival, he made it a point to personally help us cater and plan each of our vacation activities for the entire two weeks. Being from the area, he was able to take us a bit off the touristy beaten path, recommending activities (ATV Jungle Tour, Titi Canopy Zipline Tour) , beaches, and restaurants, (Emilio's Café) we otherwise would have not been able to find on our own. We loved our morning chats with him over good cups of Costa Rican coffee- he, without doubt, was one of the highlights of our relaxing stay. Would we recommend this villa to friends or relatives-Absolutely! Will we return? Again, a resounding Yes! Pura Vita! Bob and Cindy Tinney Rochester, New York
