Family week together at Villa Punto de Vista

5 of 5
Villa Punto de Vista. We just returned from a fabulous week at Villa Punto de Vista near Manual Antonio National Park. First and foremost, I want to assure future guests that working with David Konwiser, Architect and Co-Founder, was trouble free and a pleasure. Everything at the Villa was as represented and more actually. Also all money transactions were handled with professional courtesy; indeed an all-round first class experience. As soon as we arrived at the Villa we were met at the van by all the staff, indicating that they had been expecting us all afternoon as we flew into San Jose. At that point, Oliver, Josue and Yessenia (the breakfast chef) were all strangers, however when we left after a week, we all considered them friends. Oliver, Josue and Yessenia were all delightful and we much appreciated their gracious assistance and happy personalities. We were transported to and from the beach (actually a short walk) via the “mule” with chairs and umbrellas set up for us. After being at the beach for a while, it was wonderful to turn around and see Oliver coming with chips, guacamole and drinks, what a life. The villa arranged for Desiree Brassert to be our in-house chef for the week (at an additional cost). This was a real treat for us as we got to experience fabulous food, and the added benefit of no clean-up. Desiree certainly enhanced our dining experience, all without any of us leaving the house. At the villa infinity pool, roof top decks, etc. adults and children were thrilled to be in the jungle with the monkeys and sloths that call that area their home. We arrived at the Villa with great expectations and left with memories that will last us a lifetime. We shared the week together but each person has their own individual memories to treasure of our time spent in the jungle area of Manual Antonio National Park and Villa Punto de Vista. Would we return again, absolutely!

Simply Spectacular

5 of 5
To celebrate a 45th anniversary, we stayed at Villa Celaje for one week in July with our two children, spouses and grandchildren. The villa lived up to and exceeded our expectations in every way. Celaje is the Spanish word for sunset and we arrived the first night just in time for a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The villa had large floor to ceiling windows and doors and the views from every direction, day or night, were outstanding. And the villa itself was beautiful, well laid out, clean and well maintained. We all fell in love with it from the youngest to the oldest. The staff were very accommodating and we wanted for nothing. Tatianna kept the villa clean and even did our laundry. Johan handled any request we had with ease and made us feel cared for. And we were more than pleased to have Michael as our private chef each evening. His skills were evident from the first night and we enjoyed each and every dinner. He even baked a birthday cake for our youngest traveler who turned five while in Costa Rica. Thank you everyone! While at Villa Celaje we toured Manual Antonia with a private guide, Roy, we did the suspension bridge tour at Rainmaker park, went on a catamaran tour with Iguana Tours, did an all-day fishing excursion, an adventure tour, and did zip lining with El Santuario Tours. While each of the ours were unique in every way, the highlight was our zip lining adventure. Our children voted to do this adventure again and we went a second time on our last day at Villa Celaje. I don't know how we managed it all but each day we had time to spend several relaxing hours at and in the infinity pool at the villa. What a beautiful pool! Even the squirrel monkeys seemed to enjoy the pool area the day they visited us. What a delight to watch them. All in all, I can't say enough positive things about Villa Celaje and Costa Rica and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this to family or friends. It was a trip that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Perfect location and we felt

5 of 5
The house is beautiful and the location was very convenient. The description was very accurate but there is no way to describe the complete beauty you see when you sit on the deck or swim in the pool. There is complete flexibility. If you want to have a week on your own, the grocery store and several restaurants are within easy walking distance and the local bus is just a few steps away. However, Josue was available to arrange any day trips we wanted to take. All we needed to do was tell him what we wanted and he arranged everything. He is knowledgeable and honest and we felt well taken care of without feeling any pressure to use his services if we didn't need them. Roxanna takes good care of the house and was also very flexible. We did have one issue with keys breaking but it was more a result of the heat, humidity and aluminum material used in Costa Rica to make keys. They are "soft" but since we were given two sets of keys we were able to get into the house easily and a replacement key arrived the next day with no hassle on our part. Our three daughters loved the place and we were able to enjoy a full week of peace and happiness.
