Unbelievable home!! Amazing vacation!

5 of 5
I can honestly say that this was one of the BEST vacations that I have ever taken. As a property manager of vacation rental homes in NE Florida, I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail at the Villa Paraiso. The second that you walk through the front door and look through the glass doors to the ocean, you feel as though you are in paradise! The living areas, both inside and outside, provided plenty of space for a large family or group, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything that we needed to make meals every day. Watching a movie in the theater room ended up being a great way to unwind after a long day of exploring the local beaches and zip-lining (Hacienda Baru had great zip-lining and nature trails, and was located only about 10 minutes from the house). And the pool.... well, that just speaks for itself! It was absolutely beautiful!!! The caregiver of the home was also very friendly and accommodating, and really made every minute of our vacation feel special. I would highly recommend this home to anyone and everyone!!! *Just a little hint... walk up the driveway, above the house, as the sun starts to set. These were some of the best views that I saw throughout the week, and there were TONS of fireflies as it started to get dark!

Rain forest meets beautiful home

5 of 5
Casa Bonita is one funky place - a really, really wonderful funky place. If you are looking for something plain and uninspiring, please move along elsewhere. The unique layout and design of this house is truly outstanding. You are fortunate to be located a couple hundred feet from the main highway, yet get no traffic sounds. What you will hear is the sound of the ocean in the distance and a chorus of jungle sounds at times, especially at night. And you get to see the ocean, too, through the lush and ample landscaping surrounding the property and the wonderfully large infinity pool. A short 5 minute walk gets you to the closest beach. More often than not, no one else is there. The birds outnumbered the humans every time. Moving to the inside, there are 4 larger bedrooms and there is lots of elbow room in each shower. There were only 4 of us staying for 10 days, but it was an embarrassment of riches when it came to space. The kitchen is well stocked and has large cooking areas. Impromptu meals often took place at the bar. You could also eat at the large dining room table or relocate to the multiple chairs and tables on the covered decks. The jungle theme of the house keeps you grounded to where you are: the rain forest. Dominical is a short 2 minute drive; Uvita about 15. We loved the surf lessons at Bodhi Surf School in Uvita and would gladly take them again. Down to earth, nice people. Boogie boarding and safe swimming was found at Playa Hermosa just 10 minutes to the south. It was our go to beach. Don't miss the local waterfall and rope swing past the school just a few minutes drive away. The concierge, Romulo, is excellent. He is a busy worker and helps maintain the property most days. He will arrange a wide variety of side trips/activities all the way down to basic things - mentioning his name saved us 25% on boogie board rentals for the week. He cooks wonderful meals, too. We had great food (highly recommend Por Que No, Chappy's and Roadshack Deli) but our best meal was the one cooked by him one night. Very authentic, fresh and to die for. Finally, don't forget to hit up Melissa and Jens for information. They already have quite a bit listed on their links and it all seems pretty accurate. They are also easy going and good to work with. Our planned return trip to Costa Rica in a few years will already be partially hassle free - we've picked our next rental and no question it will be Casa Bonita.

Celebration with family and friends at the Villa

5 of 5
My husband, Ron, celebrated his 50th birthday with 20 of our closest friends and family at your Villa in Costa Rica. We stayed at the Villa August 2nd to August 9th. It was everything plus more!! We all had such a tremendous time at the Villa! From the time we first arrived with Viviana and Paulo greeting us to the time of our departure, we had a great experience. My daughters, Annamarie and Elise, really enjoyed spending time with their father on such a special occasion. Ron had been planning this trip for almost a year. He knew he wanted to experience Costa RIca and heard about the Villa through his co-workers. The excursions of horse-back riding, zip-lining, and white water rafting were enjoyed by all. Paulo and Viviana scheduled all of our rides to and from town and events. We could not have done it without their assistance. Paulo was fantastic. He made sure everyone had a great experience and would greet us every morning. Our breakfasts were always ready and everything was taken care of. The cooks, housekeepers, and everyone who worked at the Villa were all top notch! Our meals were excellent. We had a breakfast buffet every morning (loved the fresh pineapples and juices)! We had an option for lunch which was delicious. Our dinners every night were on time and served with a smile. We loved the appetizers, meals, and desserts! The cooks made a birthday cake for Ron on his 5oth birthday - Tres Leches cake. We even had dance lessons by Paulo. Paulo would always provide us with Costa RIca history and tell us about the area. Paulo toured the grounds with us - making sure we all got to see the beautiful waterfalls on the grounds. The vacation was a time for our friends and family to enjoy each others company and celebrate Ron's 50th birthday in beautiful Costa Rica. Thank you for allowing us to stay at the Villa los Aires.
