40' WATERFALL, MTN. VIEWS, POOL, & 15 MIN TO BEACH

5 of 5
"Los Sueños Dorados" proved to be an incredible vacation that our family will remember forever! I got to use my high school Spanish and was amazed at how much I recalled. My husband was impressed. We drove from Sam Jose airport with no difficulty, as the directions were well laid out and easy to follow with the photo inserts and mileage marked. Judy provided detailed information, along with suggestions to activities prior to and following our arrival. The house is located at the end of the road at the in juncture of three rivers, hence the neighborhood name of Tres Rios. It is very private, though not isolated. We were able to get in and out of the area without four wheel drive, though 4x is useful for other areas that we visited. "Los Sueños Dorados" was a beautiful, well maintained yellow house on the hill with a red roof. Access was easy with a lock box on the front door. Inside the three bedroom home was clean, bright, and inviting. We looked out the back door and saw a beautiful pool and picnic/ grilling area....inviting us to drop all and go for a swim. That proved to be the place where we spent most of our at home time. It was wonderful. We swam almost every morning and often in the evening. If not, we were at the beach, which was not crowded, like beaches at home...nice! We tried several different beaches and the fish ceviche bought from a beach vendor was delicious! Nature was incredible. There were many birds and the humming birds were non stop. Every morning there were toucans in the trees near the pool. They returned every evening. We saw a family of armadillos. Coati mundis were in Domincal...cute! Walking down to the rivers surrounding the property provided lots of other wildlife, and plants growing wildly that I paid too much for at the nursery at home. There was a great swimming hole there, with one side a huge slanted rock wall. Further down stream was a 40 foot waterfall. We spent a couple of mornings there. What really made this trip special were the local people that we got to know. Carlos is the caretaker. He is delightful and I learned a lot of Spanish visiting with him. He has lived there all his life and was helpful with any question or concern that came up. Hi wife Lila was really sweet and cleaned for us each week. The pool guys were even friendly. Memo is the older guy and his brother lives in Georgia...near Atlanta, where my father lives. We ate often at La Parada Turistica, as Judy recommended. Carolina's is

A very special place

5 of 5
Casa Las Terrazas is a very special place. I had spoken to others who had gone to visit before us (and seen the pictures) but nothing is as spectacularly breathtaking as experiencing it first hand. Neil worked with us in advance of our stay to help us set up activities we were interested in: zip lining (Hacienda Baru), white water rafting and horse back riding to the water falls (Don Lulo's/Nauyaca Waterfalls) - all of these were great experiences and happy memories were made. Our motley crew of 8 (four adults and four children) were met and welcomed by Neil in Dominical and then shown to the home. We did go grocery shopping and prepare a few meals in-home while staying at Casa Las Terrazas (which had everything we needed in the kitchen.) There were a lot of great restaurants in the area too! We loved the Jolly Roger which is super close to the house - we even went there twice during our stay. We also tried and enjoyed Tortilla Flats (Dominical), El Avion (Manuel Antonio near the National Park), & La Parcela (Dominical) just to name a few. Staying in Costa Rica/Dominical was a very refreshing vacation. Casa Las Terrazas provided the perfect place for our two families to "unplug" from our busy and stressful lives and to spend some quality time making memories. Just lounging in and around the pool and taking in the beach views while enjoying the lush greenery and beautiful birds at Casa Las Terrazas would have been enough for us..... but Dominical and the surrounding areas have so many things to offer so that you can experience Costa Rica. We would definitely return and would definitely recommend this fabulous home to friends and family alike.

Vacationer's Paradise!

5 of 5
Our group of seven had the most amazing time at Seabreeze Casa! Bea and Bob were very helpful in suggesting activities and grocery stores, and Bob even met us off the main highway to take us to the house. As others have mentioned 4x4s are necessary (we had a great experience with Vamos Rent a Car). Seabreeze was perfect for our group, tucked away in the mountains with beautiful views, but only a short drive to the main road with restaurants and stores. The house and pool are well maintained, and we loved having the dogs keep us company. There is a horse stable where you can feed horses, and hiking paths Bob pointed us to. Be sure to check out Tortilla Flats, and try the ceviche and coconuts they sell off the road!
